The politics of managed decline have been going on for a while now.
With all that noxious hot air emitting from the Socialists in France to power their windmills I don't understand why they need to shut off the lights.
Assuming private businesses pay their own electricity bills in France, how exactly will making them turn out their lights save the country any money?

Hotel 6's in France are already a bad deal. Any money you save ends up going into the cost of having to provide your own soap and shampoo.
I think they call them Hotel 6 in France because that's how many times a year the bathtub gets used.
