LOL.... just announced on ABC the majority of Americans believe Obama will be a one term president. You damnbetcha! Just imagine the damage King Minus could do having four more years, considering the damage he has wrought in just shy of three years. (has wrought, did wrought, could wrought... I always use that word incorrectly) Rot!!
I love this guy and really hope he gains enough traction to stay in. I'm not crazy about the third 9 in his tax plan. It reeks of Euro VAT. He needs to drop some of the folksy attitude and bring a little more barracuda to push him over the top. Run him with Rubio and you can't lose.
I'm already done with Perry and hope he remains our Governor. The career politician from Texas gives them enough ties to Bush to ultimately destroy him with inuendo alone. The hunting lease thing will probably bury him anyway. I'll go out on a limb and say marches and "boycott Texas" are being planned as we speak
Well, any tax is money taken out of the economy and susceptible to being diverted to electioneering schemes. Regardless of where the money comes from, it does take X amount to do what the fed is *supposed* to do. It wouldn't matter *where* the money comes from, as X dollars is X dollars. However, the way they have it set up, people think that the money to run their government is OPM, when in reality, it is TOM (Their Own Money). Any tax scheme will always run afoul of sticker shock, when people add two and two, and find that they are the ones being screwed.
That is the reason for the federal income tax -- it was capable of being made convoluted so quickly that everyone has the wool pulled over their eyes -- all the donks are thinking that the "rich" are paying, when they are voting for the tax increase upon themselves. If they ever actually did tax the rich in such a confiscatory way, the rich would move into their yachts, parked wherever Kerry parks his, and just leave us to stew in a poverty stew of our own making. The key to tax schemes is to get Joe Sixpack to pay it, but think that it is Warren Buffett that is writing the checks.
I don't have a problem with the 9-9-9 plan -- but the problem is that it will force the federal government to live within its means or raise taxes in a visible manner. That is why we won't get it in until we flush several rounds of politicians through Washington. The current crop of turds knows their electioneering schemes will all fail if Cain makes this happen, and they know he has the 'nads to make it happen. Cueing sabotage from the corporate welfare republicans as soon as Cain is a credible threat (Just like they did with Reagan). They'd prefer Barry to Cain, which ought to tell you something. A republican Congress with the current moron-in-chief would make them a *lot* of money through all of the backroom deals. If Cain is in charge, they have no excuse to ignore the will of the people, and that is intolerable to them.
It is a lot easier for the Roves to *say* they will fix things and not fix them. However, 'politics as usual' like that is no longer acceptable.
I do sincerely believe that Cain is not only the Reagan of our times, but that he is *better*. Support him.
The only problem we have getting Cain noticed right now, is that the media is marginalizing him. He's not what they want Obummer to run against because he talks too much common sense, he can get people to listen to him, he can garner some of the usually reliable black vote, and they can't cry racist if he's the candidate!
You're right poppajoe. He didn't start out with much name recognition but in the past few months he's gotten a lot of positive exposure on many networks. Even attacks coming from the likes of Morgan Freeman did more harm to Morgan Freeman than to Cain. I don't know of anybody liberal or otherwise who takes that ho Garofalo seriously. When identified as a front runner the attacks from the left will increase. I think Herman Cain can take it as well as dish it out.

A dead person would be better than King O. Herman Cain has the experience of developing and maintaining a large business and he has the common sense lacking in Obama. He also put together a well thought out tax alternative plan that will help us pay down our debt. Herman Cain is my choice.

Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan is interesting. He has more hands-on economic expertise than Obama. If he bones up some on foreign policy he might be a formidable candidate. I think we could use a citizen-president and more citizen-legislators. Obama's not change, he's just another professional politician.
Agreed. As the election is quite some ways off I think there is plenty of time for Cain to be schooled in matters of foreign policy.
