• Sounds like a great time to start up a little venture selling untaxed soda for 10 cents less then the taxed soda. You know somebody is going to get filthy rich doing just that.

  • Cool, black market Coke. You know the collegiate road-trips are being hatched in dorms as we speak. (type?)

    • Why bother? Carrying all those cases of soda gets heavy. Why not just sell "Diet" labels to put on the cartons, and avoid the tax altogether?

  The problem will likely be that when they hit bottom, when Stockton becomes the norm for CA cities, they will say it's everyone's problem and we will all be socked for the tab.
