I recall an article in Reason magazine that answered the question most accurately and succinctly (more or less a quote):
The only conclusion you can draw when a Clinton says something is that it benefits them more to say it than to not say it.
I'd feel better if ol Slick Willy were making kissy-kissy comments about Mitt Romney, frankly.

All guesses but he isn't doing it because he wants him in the WH.
It's real simple. He wants his wife to be president. He figures Hillary can take Newt. It would only work if Barry doesn't run -- and that ignoramus has WAY too much ego to stand down and let Hillary run.
However, he could be hoping on her running in 2016 against President Newt.
Call me a cynic, but I cannot believe any progressive who says they like *this* or *that* candidate -- that is more like the kiss of death to me.
I agree with you perlcat. I suspect hillary is lurking nearby in the darkness. She has BLACK WIDOW tendencies. She plans to eat him alive.
As much as I hate to say it, Hillary would be a better president than dipf*ck. On the other hand, a ham sandwich would be a better president than dipf*ck, so that's a pretty short yardstick.
