Maybe we will get lucky and somebody will eliminate this communist traitorous bastard. Get both him and Soros at the same time, the world would be a much better place.

I have a dream!
Where the hell do you live?
This video is not available in your country.
Sorry about that.
I've said it before, I'll say it again:
The two worst creatures of the modern age are...
1.) Right-wing pot-smokers
2.) Left-wing billionaires
Seriously. Two of them just bought the Virginia governorship. A billionaire from Silicon Valley poured money into the campaign for the Democrat, and another rich guy from Texas poured money into the campaign for the Libertarian. So two dumbass rich liberals who live nowhere near Virginia bought themselves an East Coast governorship.
The faux libertarian at that, only there to siphon votes. Did you know the silicon loon is an avid (rabid) warmer\truther?
Bill Gates will go down in history as the dumbest high-tech billionaire who ever lived.
Proving that it's better to be lucky than good.
Or that crime does pay.
Then give up the armed body guards, the armored limos and all the other security measures you have in place Bill boy. You have the money to have all your security measures. Us regular folks only have the 2nd Amendment to use to protect ourselves, our family and our property. So we choice to do just that. Another hypercritical bastard that believes in "do as I say, not as I do".
I think he's just upset over this:

That guy is not crazy, just fed up. I have just spent the last 2 hours trying to set up a wireless printer....incomprehensible. I have dont it before with a different printer but this new one HP assumes you have nothing else to do for the next day and a half.
BWAHAHAHA!!! :-D
He is and always has been on ugly sumb*tch. The only pretty thing about him is his money and even that is weak as he is no longer the richest man on Earth, but he loves keeping that myth going. Whatever... this fool is old news, he hasn't invented anything nor done anything inovating since who knows how long. Who care what he has to say?
Hell, he stole the operating system that made his whole operation worthwhile. Ummm, more or less.
I say less. I'm done wit Windoze. Going all Apple because the stuff just works and there's none of that constant need to ctrl alt del to free up frozen programs. Running my Macbook Pro for a couple yrs now and have had a program freeze on me once. It was such an anomaly that I had to look up how to force quit on OS! I'm thinking 27 inch iMac for my home puter in the next few weeks. Granted their politics are a left wing too...
I'm philocophically opposed to Apple products.
I refuse to pay that much for something that can't run most of the software I use.
I like the apple mobile products. For me the point of a tab is to be quick and easy, emphasis on the quick for some people and emphasis on the easy for others. My mom, whom has just recently gotten tech savy, loves the iOS devices. They are beautiful, intuitive, easy to use and powerful enough to do anything she wants.
My dad, whom has a masters in CS, much prefers the MS Surface when it comes to tablets.
I feel differently about their "computers" (wow, that was a hard to use word since the definitions of these platforms are changing so rapidly). Sure windows will lock up and give you the blue screen of death upon occasion (actually though I haven't seen one of those since XP) but it has a functionality I depend on and is more than reliable enough for all my needs. I bought my wife (she is a CE so I was surprised when she wanted one -well not that surprised) a MacBook pro for Christmas one year. Beautiful device. Absolute pleasure to use. She loved if for all the awesome movies she could make with it. And she absconded with my cheapie Toshiba every time she needed to create a spreadsheet.
That's how I go hooked, the iPhone. I then got an iPad and on to the Macbook. I think they have their head up their butts right now on the iPhone ( I want a bigger screen! ) and won't upgrade until they give me more screen. We travel a lot and the iPad is the cat's a** when it comes to booking things on the fly or finding out where the heck we are on a map. I load mine with movies and shows to watch on the plane as well.
Love my iphone. I would prob switch to the phablet if I didn't have an iPad and (since I couldn't see getting the iPad mini) a 7 inch android tab. But with all the other stuff I'll prob keep with iPhone until they stop making them even if they are not as powerful they are so easy to use and the interface is beautiful.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S series phone (the Galaxy S 4G about 3 years old). I really like the Android platform, and the fact that my phone weighs about 40 lbs less than an iPhone. I can do any of the stuff you can with the iPhone. But then I have a 64 gig micro SD memory card, so I can load almost anything on it.
Those Samsungs are definitely slick. I'm giving Apple one more chance to go bigger. If they don't do something truly innovative with the iphone 6, I'm going with a Galaxy.
Yeah the Samsung's look awesome! I have a lenovo tab (very cheap) that runs jellybean. Very nice despite the skimpy hardware (really though it is pretty nice considering the $170.00 price and I use it almost as much as my larger iPad). So I imagine android must be super excellent on the Galaxy or Nexus.
Still though, love iOS the best. So easy, so pretty!
Hey anyone else notice we've had a civil Microsoft/Linux/Apple discussion? This has to be a first in interwebz history!!!!!!!!!
Ha, we win!
Try Linux. Open source, 90% of it is free, and it runs on standard PC equipment, so you can custom-build your own machinery. Mac is very pricey.
I have a co-worker that runs Linux. He constantly complains about all the updates and how they affect his computer. It seems that his computer has almost as many issues, possibly more than I did when I was running my Vista lappy. I gig him a bit and tell him he should get a Mac, this just makes him fume. My Mac just boots and does everything I throw at it without any hitches.
What can't you run on a Mac, Pop? Your complaint was my exact words for years. Turns out Photoshop was designed for the Mac platform and retrofitted to run on Windoze. Having used it on both systems, I can definitely see the difference. I can run Office , Tax software, Garmin Basecamp for hiking trip planning. I haven't even considered Boot Camp yet because i haven't needed it. My home network is Apple Time capsule based and all the computers hook up and cooperate with each other, even the two PCs we still own. Since getting an Airprint compatible printer ( it's an Epson ), I no longer have printing problems. You are right on pricey though. After getting over sticker shock from my first Macbook, it's not so difficult to accept anymore! I gave that Mac to my oldest daughter and she runs it hard for several hours a day doing homework. I don't get called to the computer several times every night to "fix" issues since she started using it. Ok, my Apple commercial is over now!
Forgot to mention the trackpad on Macbook. That thing is worth the price of the whole machine. I don't need a mouse any more except for certain things in Photoshop.
Yeah the Mac trackpad is nice. Never use the one on my widnows laptop. Especially with Windows 8. Virtually useless without a mouse. Well maybe with the touch screen but I could not see spending the price of a tablet just to get that feature.
I disabled the mousepad on my laptop, I couldn't get used to having the damned thing move my cursor when I was typing and accidentally hit the pad. I use a wireless mouse and love it.
Dude, you should really go play with one at Bestbuy some time. Or even better, run over to the Apple store and get one of their people show you around and answer your questions and concerns. You know you want to.... ;)
Not really. It's a novelty for me right now, I have more important things on my purchase list, and it is real expensive.
I have a Vista laptop, and never have blue screen issues. The worst thing that happens is after several hours of working on it, I sometimes have an issue where my desktop icons are frozen and I can't click on them. That usually happens as I'm getting ready to shut down anyway, so I take it as a sigh that it's time to get some sleep. Since I opened the bottom of the case and cleaned out the fan and filter, that is much less frequent. Not too bad for a 6 year old machine.
I've tried Linux in the past, my only complaint is trying to find drivers for my hardware.
Interesting. I never installed any drivers so I hadn't even thought of that. I did have a real difficult time finding a flash player that was useful, but since most browsers seem to have it built in now that probably wouldn't be a problem. Finding programs that were not in the download section posed more of a problem. Hadn't used command line interface much (didn't really get into computers until Windows 3.1 which I think was the last of the proper DOS versions, and even then girls and music and trouble kept me from spending a lot of time learning what I should have about them) but through forums and web tutorials I was able to use it pretty well.
Love linux . . . used Ubuntu for a while and got my dad using it on a really old machine that now runs really great.
How would I convert a Vista machine to Linux?
I have 220 gig hard drive, 4 gig memory.
Would I lose all my software? Can I still use my web based email?
It's been so many years since I kept up with new tech because of my job, and I feel lost sometimes. I guess that is mainly because I have become complacent and happy with Windows based machines.
Why don't you check and see if your machine's BIOS has the capability to boot the machine from a different hard drive? If so, then it would be far easier to put Linux on a second hard drive, preserving your original Windows but giving you the second operating system without any fuss.
If I have it on a CD, it would boot from that drive.
Most Linux distributions also have a version that you can put on a thumb drive. An 8 GB thumb drive can hold a full distribution. It's also nice to have one on a thumb drive just for emergencies on Windows machines. I prefer the KNOPPIX distro for that, and it's also nice to have if you just want to play with Linux before installing it.
There's also a version of Linux called Cygwin that actually runs under Windows; also another nice toy to play with.
Cool. looks like I have some homework to do.
There are a lot of tutorials on the web. Both times I installed it (from a disk) I allowed wipe the hard drive first as the computers were so old and cluttered that they really didn't run Windows (XP both times) very well anymore. But there is the option of allowing the install to partition your hard drive (linux takes up very little space) and you can run either either.
Or if it makes it easier you can always make a portable version on flashdrive and use that. Or testdrive it directly from the disk without putting anything onto your hard drive.

Thanks! At least I now have a starting point.
If I could remove Windows from my drive, I wouldn't need extra storage!
Now I just need to get a Linux disc.
distrowatch.com is a good place to go to see the popularity of the different flavors of Linux.
Thanks.
I was in school writing Assembler and RPGII code when he got the contract to make DOS the basis of all that followed (no slight meant toward Apple OS lovers) because the author of CP/M opted out of, or just forgot the meeting with IBM. Gates is a little prick who spent far too much time getting punched in grade school, leaving him with thick cicatrix about his entire head. Smart guy? Absolutely. Weasel? The wealthiest the planet has ever hosted. Chip on his shoulder? Well, yeah, and it ain't no stinking 8088!
Haaa!
Here I thought I was the only oldster who wrote in RPG II. System 3 and 96 column punch cards!
So you all worked on ENIAC, huh? Wow.
Eniac and then Multi-vac. (apologies to Isaac Asimov)
Poor old Uni-VAC, always the red haired step child.
Then Shop-Vac?
Worked on a IBM System 10 at first. Disk drive was basically the same dimensions as a washing machine and spooled up in under 9 minutes on warm days. The school installed a System 370 towards the end of my indoctrination. It had a CRT! That was an improvement for debugging, but we were not really allowed to look at it ourselves. The printer was quite a lot of fun to watch. It threw printed sheets up into the air on spring-loaded guides as part of the stacking routine. Hilarious. Still, everything we ever wrote went onto punch cards. What a noisy room THAT was, dozens of people clacking away all at the same time.
"It had a CRT!" I remember my first 3279 color monitor. I was in CRT heaven with that.
My first color rig was a Compaq Luggable. 40 pounds of 286/16, 20 Megabyte Hard disk, 5.25 floppy AND a ten meg tape backup unit, all in a sexy putty colored box with a monochrome CGA. Had to plug it into an actual color monitor to get away from that green glow, but it had a RCA composite video out for TV connections. That's when I learned my pat answer to the age old question; what's your favorite color? I don't have a favorite, I like all 16 of them.
I remember the 16 colors on my TRS-80 basic language computer.
Thank You! Mr. Tandy, Texas leather goods purveyor, wherever you may be.
Who's his barber?
Dont blame that mess on a barber. He always looks like he walked into an elephant fart.
I think he was much closer than you give him credit for.
The Enemy
The same guy that does Donald Trump's hair.
You would think the guy good afford a decent hair cut. Instead, he looks like he went under the bowl.
Smug, effete, good-time, plastic banana, narcissist...got all of his greatest ideas from Steve Jobs and then stabbed him in the back. What a wonderful example of a super rich asshat who definitely wants his and most of yours too! You think he'll include himself in that initiative to ban gun ownership?
Is it just me, or is he starting to look more and more like Harry Reed?
It is just you. I think he's looking more like the bastard love child of Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton.
Like all liberals, Bill Gates is a hideous, treasonous bastard. Hey God - how about throwing cancer this asshole's way instead of killing GOOD people like Tony Snow.
Hey Bill, your products suck! And you supposedly know computers. why would I listen to you on something I know you know nothing about?
