Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

I doubt he'll ever "come over" all the way, and this was hardly an endorsement of either Bush or the war, but it IS pleasant to see cracks in the dam!

It happens occasionally. These self-proclaimed geniuses get slapped up side the head with the truth and realize the only people they were fooling were themselves.

As a conservative who is sick of his vitriol directed at many of my lines of thinking, I'd like him to not move to the right. He won't anyway but I would prefer he just sit in LA knowing he's been lied to, used, and regarded as a useful idiot. That is a form of social justice I can get behind.
