Bill Nye slams NASCAR in an epic take-down calling it the ‘anti-NASA’
“Here I am trying to envision the smart, efficient transportation technology tomorrow, and there is NASCAR celebrating a very old transportation technology of yesterday. You might call NASCAR the anti-NASA.”
A couple of things there Mr. Nye; chemical rocket technology predates the gas powered internal combustion engine by over seven centuries -even the more modern liquid fueled model has been with us since 1926- and pound for pound the average Nascar vehicle is far more fuel efficient than the average NASA launching system. But you’ve never let facts correct your propaganda before, so we guess there is really no reason to expect you would do so now.

Obviously, it's way past the time for Bill Nye the blubbering guy to retire. Hey Bill, FYI - NASCAR (which has been around longer than NASA) is the NASA of the car world. Those cars on that track today are what we'll be driving everyday (minus all the h.p.) in just a few short years from now. Somebody once said, "It's better to keep your mouth closed and thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt". If this article isn't a prime case for that, I don't know what is. By the way, Bill is really not a scientist. He has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Cornell in 1977 - that's it. All the other "science" degrees and PhD's are honorary bullshit.

Maybe just for shits and grins, NASCAR should have a Greentard Race day, a track full of Chevy Volts, Smart Cars and a bunch of driverless Google Prius'. Have them run the opposite way so the cars all have to turn "right", due to the slow speed there is no need for safety equipment, except for the Chevy Volt Drivers would need a fire suit. Sell Spring Water and kale chips for the crowd of 12 people. Have Al Gore, weather whore, be the official starter..."Transgender men, Turn on your ignition".....After about two dozen laps, the Chevy's would have dead batteries, the Smart cars would be upside down, and the Google cars would be driving around the infield in circles with engineers trying to fix the problem....

Nye is anti science. His signature cause can not be proved/disproved by the scientific method. Anything that cannot be proved/disproved by the scientific method is a pseudo science. He should know this, but I am honestly not sure if at this point he is being dishonest or really is that stupid.
