Mayor Taylor has already served since the moron twin took off for DC. She ran against a number of opponents, and this was the final runoff. Her opponent gave up her senate seat to run for Lt. Gov., and was frantic when she lost. She jumped into this election, complete with attack ads and racially inferences about her opponents, which only got worse when it came down to a run off. She was forcing party into our non party local elections. She's one of thelegislators that leftbthe state a couple of years back because they didn't have the votes to beat the Republicans. By leaving the state, they prevented the vote for some weeks. Yet she claims she can work across the aisle. So glad her ass got beat!
They're saying now they don't know if Taylor can work with the primarily Democrat city commission, but since it was the city commission who appointed her to fill in for the mayor who left for Washington, doesn't she ALREADY have a good working relationship with the city commission? I don't get it.

Kudos to Mayor Taylor! She has proven she is tough enough to win the election and now she will need that toughness. Fighting with all the liberal loons on the city council is going to be a pain in the ass. They are going to hate her because she is, obviously, a woman, black and a Republican.
Pretty wild swing for SA. She's replacing the guy that I believe the dems are going to put up for Veep with Hillary. Predominantly hispanic democrat city elects a black republican woman over a hispanic woman. Im not sure what is going on here. I wish her well in dealing with the brother in law politics in our lovely town!

The funniest line in the whole story was about getting 3000 democrats off the couch to go vote..The dems were pissed at their own...Hey man, give them a break, it's hard to get off the couch when you got a full bag of Cheetos, a six pack of cold sodas and a whole new shipment of porn you bought on your EBT card...
