My sister and brother-in-law attended the Pearl Jam concert at Wrigley Field last Friday night. They decided to take the subway from their hotel to Wrigley. My sister was a bit concerned about and frightened by the element on the subway. They took a cab back to their hotel afterwards which cost 50 bucks.
I would have waited until they came somewhere that you don't need an armed guard to get there. This from a guy that has no problem using the subways and walking the streets at night in New York.
NYC is a hell of a lot safer than Shitcago.
I don't doubt it, but you are still taking your life in your hands by using the subways.
I remember when I first went to NYC as a small child and my Mom told me (because my Godmother told her) not to look at anyone in the eye in the subway. I was so scared that there is a picture of me that my Mother took where I was sitting on her other side I had my head down. Whenever I was in the subway I always had my head down. I haven't been in a NYC subway in ages, but the last time I was in my early 20's and I had my head down as well. Seen a lot of Law & Order episodes to know not to mess with people there.

Obama was a "Community Organizer" here-in fact the press said he was a "successful community organizer", yet, there have been 1214 shootings in the very neighborhoods these two "leaders" serve/served. the race war is on. This is yet another reason why people need to arm themselves all in all I can assure you that if more women out there knew how to properly handle a weapon they would become less and less targets (regardless of the color of their skins).
