The whole trial is a sham anyway, Zimmerman is going to get railroaded, simply to keep the Low Information Voters from rioting. It's the same reason they found OJ Simpson innocent.

I still think the jury is rigged and Zimmerman will be "found" guilty. No doubt in my mind that someone in the prosecutors office wrote the note that Rachel couldn't read. The defense lawyer should have asked that question directly, but being in the brotherhood, that would be going to far.
Let's get back to basics folks. The affidavit was NOT sufficient to establish that in the light most favorable to the state, the two necessary components to effect an arrest were alleged. One, does evidence exist that establishes a crime, and two, is there probable cause to believe GZ committed it? That simple but necessary standard was NOT met. I may not have graduated or teach at Harvard law school, but I practiced criminal law for 20 years as both a prosecutor, defense attorney, and law enforcement trainer. This case is about the criminal attempt to railroad GZ by unscrupulous prosecutors, cops, and at least two judges. Hell yes the prosecution is trying to suborn perjury to obtain a conviction. Who knows what was said off tape. The toad girlfriend sure changed her demeanor after her first day of testimony, after the state told her how and what to say, and what not to say. "Do you want the cracker convicted? Then you better say this and not that"
All in all your entire dissertation was great, but there was no need to call her a toad. She is ignorant and she has a lot of problems, but all in all she obviously doesn't want to be there and she is obviously being used, that is something to lament IMHO.

It is demeaning to assume she is not smart enough to realize she is being used. She knows she has been told what to say and what not to say. I use the term toad to describe someone who is grossly obese (That is a medical term). In fact she is extremely, morbidly obese. It is a fact she drinks and smokes dope. She appears not to have a modicum of social grace, an issue which is not affected by her multi-language background. Her weight and social acting out proves she is out of control, meanwhile what appears to be a descent man is looking at serious prison time. Her testimony could be the difference. Am I angry at the right people? I believe so, and race has nothing to do with it. I spent a third of my life defending the poor, the weak, the mentally ill, most of whom were minorities, as GZ is. It sickens me that the system is doing this injustice to GZ, and all the photo shopping and the President saying TM looks like my son, lying CBS and pathetic prosecutors are the ones I am angry with. Included is this young morbidly obese, narcissistic women whose obsession is to burn a "crazy assed cracker", and make him pay for the injustices she's had to endure. Don't feel sorry for her, as soon as she gets her nails re-done, she'll be fine. She will never be prosecuted for perjury, she'll just go back to more "drink", "smoke" and DWI.
Like I said you and I are in perfect agreement except for the term which I felt was perhaps a bit too much. All in all these are the type of Black women I see in a lot of places and in all truth I can't ever be friends with because their attitudes are really horrible.

trying to square the "facts" of how the law as a system is supposed to work with the "show" we're all seeing. Just looking at case law and the mechanics of things fascinates me, then watching people and emotions try to pervert the process and the twisted logic they use to justify it.

Nice article, one thing I would have mentioned is that GZ stated he was trying to squirm off the concrete to stop his head from being bashed in. That assertion is supported by the grass stains. In addition, GZ has stated that squirming, friction motion caused his shirt to ride up, exposing the gun, at which time TM supposedly said "someone is going to die tonight". That certainly, if true, establishes a solid reasonable man standard of being put in imminent threat of losing his life, thus even more reason for a justifiable homicide. I don't think based upon other evidence, that GZ is that smart to concoct a solid, self defense argument while waiting for the police. He just told the truth, and ALL the physical evidence supports his rendition of events.
Seems to me the prosecution's case is shot. When they're done the defense always asks for dismissal and seldom gets it, but if any case deserves dismissal by the judge it's this one. The prosecution witnesses all sound more like defense witnesses.
I don't know folks. Listening to the witnesses for the prosecution, this Jeantel girl and the guy who was on the stand yesterday, I'm wondering if the prosecuter is trying to throw the case on purpose. Both would have been much better witnesses for the defense so why did the prosecuter put them on the stand?

Having been thru a lot of trials, sometimes there is not much to work with on either side. You would not believe the things people say in court, and people also nut up on the stand a lot. I still think the prosecutor is going to do anything and everything to win, even if it means going to the darkside, no pun intended.
That was my point. It looks like the prosecuter is calling witnesses that should have been called by the defense. Then the woman, who was never an Olympian and could not have heard 3 shots when only one was fired, adds to the prosecutions problems. Is the prosecution team so arrogant they think they have a slam dunk no matter who they put on the stand? Even though their testimony and credibility gives weight to the defense? Any jury that would convict Zimmerman based on what we have heard so far should be tossed in jail themselves.
But yet the prosecutor is the only attorney who has the dual role of prosecuting for the state, and administering justice for the best interests of all citizens, including George Zimmerman. The defense attorney is single minded, a hired advocate, with zero responsibility for the public interest. Being a prosecutor is a high calling, and unfortunately, far too many fall short of the standard. These prosecutors, the former special prosecutor, and at least two judges have failed in their roles of administering justice, all in the name of PC. Truly pathetic.

I watched her testimony, she was ignorant and stupid on the stand, I mean telling the defense attorney, "That's retarded sir"....That's something a five year old would say. She can't read her own letter, which now she just remembered was written by someone else? And then on PMSNBC the worlds biggest ass and race-baiter extraordinaire, Al "Kill Whitey"Sharpton says the defense is being racist because they didn't be nice to dat girl....WTF???? I guess according to our Pal-Al, there are now rules for different treatment based on your race in court. This whole trial is nothing more than a media circus with every TV clown throwing in his two cents worth. Worst damn thing that every happened was TV camera's in a courtroom, now they all go "Hollywood" and get on entertainment tonight instead of taking care of business.

All true. The prosecutors are under massive pressure to win a case that Obama and the media already adjudicated in the public square. If they are cheating to win, I'm not surprised. In other ways I thnk they are throwing the case but that might be due to incompetence.
But a lot of what I saw makes me think that they don't want to win this, unless they are getting the crap out of the way and have a big thing by the end to clinch it.... In any case, this is all bad.
"they are throwing the case... " I kinda got that feeling the last few days now and then too, especially after their two *star* witnesses seemed to be making the defense case to a T, but had a little different take.
I get the feeling they were 'ordered' to proceed with a case they knew was bogus. What if they don't have the means to just quit and blow the lid off, having a family, mortgage and everything that goes with those responsibilities to think about too. They did that, sure they'd be famous for a week, but who in their profession would ever hire them after that? Maybe they're just plugging along hoping history will eventually uncover the truth of who is really responsible for this travesty. Just armchair quarterbacking, blowing smoke.
I am not sure they are deliberately throwing the case. I just think its so incredibly weak that the only chance they have is to hope that the defense comes out gangbusters and turns off the jury. That's all they have.
I do not trust the prosecutors one little bit. The current legal culture for prosecutors is to block, feint, parry, riposte and basically cheat if they must, to get someone, anyone, put behind bars. Does it matter if they are guilty? Not really.
The young lady has been manipulated and exploited by those who have an agenda in this trial. Her testimony is weak at best and lying at worst. If this transcript proves to be real. The prosecution's case is gone and the attorneys who are doing the prosecuting might wish to talk with Mike Nifong and what happens when you try to disrespect the courts.
Florida prison clothing only comes in some very basic colors.
Nifong deserved far more than he got. HE got one day in jail, while those boys were looking at most of the rest of their lives behind bars. Not to mention their college careers were ruined, and their names are permanently tainted. Nifong should have gotten the same sentence he tried to pin on those innocent boys!
Sometimes I wish there was a real-life "where are they now" site like they do for so-called celebs. Hop over and plug that [redacted]'s name in, grab some popcorn and see just how he's been doing for the last 5 or 6 years.
