• Surely (No one else has permission to call me Shirley) that can't be correct. St.Matthew Shepard the martyr of Wyoming was a meth dealer?

  • If anything I have learned in my business, there is ALWAYS more to the story that what gets out or gets released.....In this case I would not be surprised there were drugs and drug dealing involved....Not surprised one little bit...

    • "If anything I have learned in my business..." I saw where it said one of the killers was coming down from a 5 day meth bender and looking for drugs. What the hell are you in for when you come into contact with somebody like that? I could never, ever do your job.

      • If they crash...they are just a lump, however if they are still wired they will fight and turn into a monster....They will think nothing of killing to get money or drugs....A lot of them end up being shot by the cops and then the libturds come out of the closet and start bitching about the mean cops..I think we should let them run amok in society for a while..let the liberals live with their belief that drug users can be made to feel all better with a hug....give them all the meth they want, after a couple weeks there won't be any methheads left.....

        • Saw a history channel documentary about drugs and was surprised to learn that meth was invented by Nazis trying to make super soldiers. At first they really thought they had something - guys could stay awake for days and would fight like tigers - but then they realized how phenomenally addictive the stuff was. After the war Americans brought the stuff back and doctors thought they had a new miracle drug - they started prescribing it to depressed housewives all over America. Apparently the Nazis forgot to print a warning label. Took years for the medical establishment to realize they were addicting their patients and that meth was more of a curse than a miracle.

        • PCP was invented by the US to use as a pain killer in field hospitals in WWII, Unfortunately it worked so well people who had been shot in the head got up and walked away from the operating table during the surgery, or they would walk with limbs missing...Today a version of PCP called Ketamine is used in Vet clinics as a pain killer during surgery on animals..And people still try to steal it to use it......There is is some weird stuff out there..The latest one is "bath salts", basically legal meth that makes people super combative and super crazy for a short duration....has nothing to do with taking a bath either, but that's how they sell the stuff...

        • There was a famous ketamine abuse murder case in Reno years back. A wealthy lawyer, one of those guys who advertises state- or nation-wide for class-action lawsuits, was abusing ketamine and was eventually murdered by his wife after ruining himself with drug use. Somebody wrote a book about it. The whole time I was reading the book I was thinking, "With all the great opiates and all the cocaine out there in the world, why would someone take a medication designed for horses that makes them feel numb?"

        • Yea that one is kinda famous around here, the woman was tried and convicted in San Joaquin County (Stockton) after they found her in Florida, turns out she had several different names and married the lawyer (McNabney) for money and had a little helper kill and bury him who also got convicted..Sara Dutra.....Of course Dutra claimed she was a "victim" and was scared at the time......Giant pile of bullshit, she also got a bunch of the money.....McNabney was into horses and they had lots of drugs around, I guess he tried it and liked it and his wife liked it more...:)

        • Yeah, the book portrayed her as some kind of femme fatale who latched onto a successful lawyer and sucked him dry, but the picture of her didn't look all that alluring to me. She must have had some good tricks in bed 'cause her looks were average.

• I was not here when it happened and I barely remember hearing about this so I don't know what happened but I do know that people use this as an example of rampart anti gay violence which in truth is not that rampart. I see conflicted messages where the murderers supposedly say they targeted him for robbery and thought it would be easy because he was gay, then that they hated gays. There was an interview by I think focus on the family person or someone where they said that no it wasn't because he was gay. So all in all this story is too muddled the murderers seemingly are not clear and everything seems to be very confused. In situations like this, then I think it is best not to use for politicking but of course that is exactly what happened.

• I remember hearing that it may have been a drug deal that went bad as well. Who really knows, it turned into what it turned into, but I have questions about that story.

• Just like all individuals who live in the darkness; whether it be of the mind, or of a lifestyle contrary to acceptable norms, there is an underlying and usually unspoken lie knitted into the fabric of the mindset held by the person or person living in that darkness. Their aversion to God and societal normalcy becomes their reason for living...living an open and dangerous lie. When this liar died, the whole media world, of the time, went on a rampage in the defense of homosexuality and depravity. Oh, the great alligator tears that were poured forth for this greatest of tragedies and travesties of justice was that 'shot' heard round the world...of gaydom and look what we have now; everything the queers and steers have wanted to shove down our throats and up our asses, so far, they've gotten passed, or their powerful and well heeled PAC's have shopped to gay friendly judges and gotten ramrodded up our 'you know wheres.' I don't know about you, but this really sounds like major distraction and obfuscation time, what are the RINO's and The One getting ready to do to us now?

• Divide and conquer- Time does its part to further the demagogues' agenda.... and to distract from issues that have greater implications on our freedoms and the preservation of at very least the illusion that we still have rights.

  • I don't know, stinkfoot, so-called gay marriage has potentially tremendous implications for freedom of religion, which is one of the foundational principles of our country. Also, how do we win for conservative policies when the culture is more and more liberal?
