Boston Globe already has Elizabeth Warren buyer’s remorse. “For the sake of Massachusetts, let’s hope that Elizabeth Warren gets better than this. She was always a mildly underwhelming candidate, clutching her talking points like they were a satchel of gold: millionaires and ­billionaires, a level playing field, big oil. As deft as she was at slogans, she was never so good at answering questions, which was odd for a person of such experience and substance….” Guess what, Boston Glob – she’s stupid and empty just like your stinking newspaper. Jokes on you.

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

    • Yeah, but KQ, we have to live with their mistakes too. It's bad enough we picked another dark horse contender like McStain. I said last time that I wasn't going to hold my nose and vote this time. I had a little hope for Romney, but he folded like a cheap suit. I think, as I have said before, that the Republican Party elite are Socialists and/or Marxists hiding in sheep's clothing. We're being systematically driven down the primrosed path to socialism. If we don't get a spine and fight back...we're done. We may have to start killing these fools at some point, because I know they're already thinking about killing us...by the millions. Read up on Saul Alinsky. Read up on Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn! We are expendable!

      • We are expendable as long as we do what they want. The truth of the matter is socialists would starve to death without capitalists. Socialism is parasitic in nature, & it needs a host. If there was a true movement to "Go Gault", they would be screwed.

        • In the past few months I have come to a Truth: Evil is not self-sustaining. It cannot sustain itself for it eats others and itself and it is meant to breakdown and end. The ONLY reason it doesn't end is because good people continue to exist and evil feeds on good people. It feeds on good in order to sustain itself. If good people finally become extinct OR are extracted from the world completely and no other good person is born, evil will indeed end and collapse on its own.

          The best thing that any evil entity, government or person can do in order to continue to exist without collapsing or ending, is to NOT do evil, to just exist without acting. However, the very nature of evil is to act and therefore it condemns itself as at one point when there is no good to feed from it will end itself.

          In any case, it goes back to what you are saying. If good people cease to exist or remove themselves from the equation and only evil exists or evil is allowed to exist outside the camp (so to speak) of those who removed themselves from the situation, evil will collapse, it might take some time but it will.
          The problem is that good people will never cease to exist, so the only solution is to remove goodness/good people from the equation... how? a calling of a Higher Power to the people in order to get them out of the Planet will be nice, other than that where in the world can we go? If we go to another country, what are the chances that we won't be followed by evil or that evil won't be born among us?

          People could chose not to pay taxes, but the nature of goodness will mandate that many people will be obliged to pay taxes anyway, some businesses might leave but others may not want to because they don't want others to become impoverished. This is why evil thrives because good exists. If good ceases to exist there is only evil. Where can good people go? Where can we disappear to? Where evil won't find us? It is a very philosophical and realistic question that has no easy answers. Well other than the religious one, but that may not happen for a very long time.

You can always count on liberal states to elect people with serious mental disabilities...Wonder if she brings her bow and arrow to the senate? Maybe she will ride in on a horse with war paint on...We now have a government where the mentally ill run the show..
