    I expect at the time the definition of that particular term was much more narrow than most would perceive today, but then again i could be wrong, it was King's English slang, and i'm just a old boy from Texas. frankly I think anybody who'd deliberately infest bugs in a neighbor's crop ought to be hanged, same as horse thieves and cattle rustlers.

  • Isn't subsidizing the building of a religious house of any kind against the separation of church and state? When was the last time you heard of a Baptist church getting "subsidized" by the Government? Episopalian? Pentecostal? Catholic? Exactly. There would be hell to pay if a stroy like TAHT got reported! But Muslims? No prob, Bob!

  • I support the right to build a mosque anywhere in the country so long as I can retain the right to open a gay bar on one side of it and a pork product shop on the other.

  • As long as the Pagan-Left has Chick-Fil-a to show their disgust about their anti-pro-family view point , there must not be to much hate left over to those that believe gays should be put to death .

  • Wow what a set of double standards. A Christian Co gets called out for the beliefs of the owners by the mayor and he goes to a ribbon cutting for a masque and a religion that calls for the deaths of all gays and he sees nothing wrong. That's a politician for you.

    • Muslims oppose homosexuality and, of course, gay marriage. Yet the mayors of Boston and Chicago both are outspoken in their support for them (it's "diversity", don't you know). Menino facilitates the aquisition of land for a mosque and attends its ribbon cutting ceremony. Emanuel recruits Louis Farrakan and his racist Black Muslim gangsters to police the streets of Chicago. Yet both mayors pounce on Chick-fil-A for the alleged "homophobia" of its CEO.

      So much hypocrisy, so much phoniness, but both mayors are assured of reelection by a dumbed down, politically correct, electorate.
