When the Mayor turns his back on the police force what does he expect? DeBlasio needs to about face, then maybe he will get some respect, though I doubt it.

As a criminal justice professional I am quite aware of the legacy of Bill Bratton. He has done wonderful things in really difficult situations. He has always been a cop's cop. However, when he accepted the offer from Comrade de Blasio, he knew he was headed for a train wreck. I praise the rank & file, they have it right. Bratton is pissing away all the good will and praise/admiration he rightfully earned with this BS move. I'll never see him the same. nor will thousands of other cops. With all due respect, you and the Comrade can go mutually masterbate out of the public eye.
