Brawls break out across US over… new Air Jordan tennis shoes. Drudge had several stories of brawls, mobs and near-riots in Seattle, Atlanta, Charlotte and Louisville apparently involving folks wanting to buy these shoes. Pardon our ignorance but these are just shoes, right? Unless maybe they’re where MF Corzine left the MF money…

Excuse me, but everyone seems to be passing over the real issue here. Who the f$%k pays $200 for a pair of freaking sneakers?
Outside of a few choice urban areas, I don't see anyone going crazy for these stupid things!
Oh, one more thing. When was the last time Jordan played basketball? Why is he still getting this kind of attention?
Fools fighting over shoes, women using pepper spray to make sure they get the Christmas presents they wanted, OWS clowns, all good excuses for the gooberment to call on the military to "protect" the average Joe.

I've met a few females that have spoken that they would love to have that priviledge. They seriously don't recognize him as a MAN.
By the way, the headline should be changed to reflect a true description of these shoes. They're not tennis-shoes. They're basketball shoes. Tennis fans probably aren't the ones rioting.

I suggest we just air drop a bunch of these shoes in the middle of a prison yard. The event could be put on pay per view, the fights would last all day..and just to make it interesting make them all shoes for the right foot, but don't tell the inmates....
So who else here doesn't give two s*** about a pair of shoes, and only owns 1-3 pairs of shoes?
I have more than 3 pair (sorry, but women DO need a few more than you guys!) but not a lot and I don't remember every killing someone to get any of them!

I hate to say this, but I have 3 pairs of golf shoes. That's on top of a few other pairs I have for work & everyday.
Yeah, but everybody knows golf shoes are a necessity and work doesn't count because rules are rules. Almost makes me want to go searching for a pair of red canvas hi-top Converse All-Stars to match my supposed red state Tea Party lovin red neck.
Ghost, What makes golf shoes a necessity(if you golf)is that they are waterproof. Unless you play dessert golf, they need to be waterproof.
In order of how often they're worn,
#1 Kickin' around at home, (outside) sandals
#2 Workout sneakers (About 10 years old, not Nikes)
#3 Sunday go to meetin' sandals (For semi-formal events)
#4 Dress boots (Goes with the kilts)
#5 Work boots (Near bottom of list since I retired)
#6 Foul weather boots (I live in San Diego)
Just shoes. No shoelaces.
