HAHAHA...So much for the globull warming theory. Having served on an icebreaker many years ago I can tell you that if these guys cannot get through the ice is seriously thick.
We went on a NorthPac and a SouthPac, to the arctic and Antarctic, and the Polar Sea could ram through 6 feet of ice at about 5 knots without stopping. And that is a ship built in the 1970's with 70's technology. If todays breakers cannot get through? They are running into some serious ice.
I think I'll go fire up my old F-250 then go do some weed eating for an older neighbor. I'm going to do my part to warm things up down under to help the scientists. See y'all after while.
I don't think we have built any ice breakers since the 70s. You now, because no need to. It's not like the Great Lakes would all freeze over.
The USS Polar Sea and Polar Star were commissioned in 1977. They are the last two ice breakers built for the Coast Guard, who operates the ships. Other countries have built newer ships, with more horsepower and weight, but none can keep up with these two old glories.
Time to change the narrative and come up with some other bull shit line. Snore gore needs more money to pay the fines and fill the pool at his "house" in CA

Deniers! Sea ice has nothing to do with it; they have to abandon the outposts because the air conditioning units can no longer cope with the increasing temperatures.
