What "global warming" would that be?
In the Former UK, they think that building high-speed rail projects is the answer to everything, too.
They think that by constructing a high-speed route between London and Birmingham (which will enable people to escape from Birmingham fifteen minutes quicker), will help towards the so-called 'Northern Powerhouse' that Mr. Osborne is very keen on. The same "Northern Powerhouse", incidentally, which is infested by our Muslim brethren, many males of whom have an unhealthy interest in children. It makes you proud.

Not seeing it much around here in Pasco County. I do see an occasional Muslim, but they are few and far between here. Maybe it has something to do with all the gun shops and shooting ranges.
We've got those too but the New Tampa/Wesley Chapel/Temple Terrace area is virtually colonized, especially Temple Terrace.

Stupid legislators won't build dams...It might hurt the green tree butt frog....Idiots who run cities don't mandate low water landscaping....No one has even brought up using seawater except San Diego....The state passes a bond measure to help with the water situation that is all bullshit and no storage...Yet no one mentions that Kalifornia has a Mediterranean climate..Just like Greece and Italy, it has very arid areas..But they let every rich guy grow grapes which suck up water like a sponge, meanwhile the real food and other crops are left with no water. It is a massive clusterf*ck because liberals are in charge..Take the 100 billion for that stupid train to no where and put it in treating seawater, have people use cisterns to store rainwater like in the old days..and yet the people who want to tear down Hetch Hetcy Dam (because that valley needs to return to nature so all the little bugs can be free) can not understand San Francisco would have NO water if they did that. Outside of Auburn is the foundation for a dam that was not built because there "might" be an earthquake at "some" point, all that money for a cement foundation and there it sits...Hell if you just closed down all the Starbucks in this state you could save about a billion gallons of water every year.

The most reliable source of water for California is the Pacific Ocean. Desalinization plants are the way to go.
Anyway, as soon as someone invents anti-gravity, we'll be able to float icebergs down from Alaska and drop them right in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley. So not only will you have the melt water to use, you'll have summer snow skiing too. That's probably what Jerry Brown is waiting for.
If I remember right, they had plans for a desalination plant somewhere between San Diego and Los Angeles but the plan ran into the usual California problems: the environmentalists starting screaming bloody murder before they even got started.
Yet, they seem to have no problem with the choo-choo to nowhere.
