• I wonder if this new law signs them up for EBT cards at the same time.

  • It probably also signs up their family not yet here, so they don't have to wait until after they sneak across the border.

• But, of course, Texas requiring a Drivers License (and no other form of registration) is totally illegal. God forbid you have to use a form of ID linked to a database where they can verify your citizenship.

• IMO the driving for for this, from all democrat party members and ruling class RINOs, is to eliminate the middle class. These people have the audacity to hold elected officials accountable and they must be eliminated. Flood the country with immigrants who will vote for who they are told to vote for. Drive down wages to impoverish the middle class and remove them as a threat. Without the middle class the democrats and their collaborators can rule always. And the Tea Party peons who oppose them, who believe in justice and freedom
  and elected official's accountability, will finally be crushed.

• The census counts citizens and immigrants *legal and illegal alike) so this needn't be a voter drive to effect the outcome of a presidential election when it's the electoral college that actually decides the winner. All that needs to happen is for the population to swell and the representative vote count will do likewise...

  • Andrew Wilkow has said on his Sirius/XM show many times that we are trading citizenship for residency at this point. Sadly, he is correct.

• Between this and California's insane ballot system that freezes Republicans out of the election process, pitting Democrat against Democrat so voters never have a choice, conservatives are essentially victims of electoral genocide in California.

  • Which is why I say that it truly doesn't matter who I vote for in the Presidential race. The Leftist is going to win California anyway.

• This crap has been going on in New Mexico for 12 years. $Bill Retardson got a bill through our liberal Houses to allow illegals to get a drivers license in 2003 and Gov. Martinez has not been able to get the loons in Santa Flush to repeal it.

  It was all about safety, of course, by giving illegals a drivers license they would buy auto insurance and make our highways safer. Which was and is bullshit. We still have the one of the highest number of uninsured drivers on the road in the country.

  The biggest problem we have is nobody knows where all these illegals are nor does anyone know who they are. Abdul or Jose could have gotten a license here then ended up who knows where and nobody knows if they are a terrorist, gang banger, member of a Mexican drug cartel, nothing. Being allowed to vote isn't our biggest problem, our national security is.

  • And, as long as they have a legitimate license in one state, they can move to another state and get a license there.

    • If only that were the case with Concealed Carry Permits.

  • New Mexico has been giving illegals a license for 12 years. It has gotten to the point, because of the Real ID Act, that I am going to have to have a passport just to fly in my own country because the feds will not recognize a New Mexico drivers license as a legal ID.

    As an aside, do you think we need to explain "lock and load" to the kiddies around here since they are not familiar with the M-1? (snicker)

    • My lady went to check into a motel here in Commiefornia, and the Apu replica behind the counter refused to accept her New Mexico license as ID. He wanted an ID from an American state, not Mexican.
