When checking in to some hotels and resorts, they will ask me if I would like to buy a carbon credit to offset the impact off my stay. I reply no and then tell them I require twice daily towel service and fresh sheets daily.
This goes with Kalifornias Kap and Trade foolishness. The state now leads the nation in poverty ratings. Me thinks the Golden State ain't so golden anymore, all the money and jobs are leaving for parts unknown.

Nothing is being said because it went worse then they expected. Those in charge in CA don't understand that companies will just pack up & leave if Cap & Trade goes forward. If Obama pushes forward, those companies will just leave America. Which makes me wonder why union leadership would back politicians who promote green anything. Their jobs will bye-bye, & they will have only themselves to blame.
Your point about the unions is interesting. Why indeed? Don't they see the potential for a mass exodus out of the state, or out of the country? Or are they basically so thuggishly stupid that they can't see beyond their next wad of extorted cash?
