Maybe he's too racist to admit he knows Tel-Aviv is the capitol, or maybe his tolerant Muslim boss forbade him to even mention the name.
Uh, you do realize that Tel Aviv is not the capital, right? That's the issue. Israel calls Jerusalem its capital but the Muslims go apeshit about it because they consider Jerusalem theirs, and Obama seems to be agreeing with the Muslims. That's why the reporters were trying to get Carney to answer.

Personally, I don't really care what the capitol of Isreal is, but I would prefer that people high up in America's government knew. It's their job.

The headline on the video says twice, but I counted more times than that. Neither reporter was giving up and they kept asking the question even after Carney started calling on somebody else.
