CHARLESTON: Roof Would Have Failed A Background Check. Yep, his daddy bought him the pistol for his 21st birthday, which was after his felony drug arrest. A big no-no.
Editor’s Note: CNN is now reporting:
1. Shortly after he turned 21 in April, Dylann Roof got a gun.
2. He himself bought the .45-caliber handgun used in the shooting last April at a Charleston gun store, according to the two officials.
3. His grandfather says Roof was given “birthday money” and that the family didn’t know what Roof did with it.
Regardless of how he got the gun it would have been after his felony drug arrest in February and illegal for him to purchase or have.

It's always the people the system is suppose to stop from getting guns who get the guns and do the damage. If daddy gave it to him then daddy needs to become a member of the orange jumpsuit squad. Now the goobermint will squeeze the legal gun owners more because ...guns......Where is the outrage when these people who don't have guns shoot and kill cops? crickets.....only when a legal gun owner kills some criminal do the gun Nazis go bonkers and whine and cry because another criminal got shot and assumed room temperature.
The whole system is soooooo F*cked up. Criminals steal their guns, or get them thru straw purchases. Legal owners get harassed by morons like Bloomturd...Had one of those people in the church been carrying concealed, this might have ended on a much better note.

I could set up a southern border checkpoint with armed security- with all weaponry directed at the US side and tell "The American People (TM)" that it's supposed to control immigration but the design of it belies that so clearly that's not what it would supposed to be fort.
By the very tactics and misinformation employed by the left, it's quite clear to me that their intentions are far different from what they tell us. These laws are NOT intended to disarm criminals, they are meant to disarm the law abiding and creating a soft target that demands security from its overlords.
Interesting that some news reports say his dad bought the gun for him as a birthday gift but the story I just heard on CBS radio reported that Roof used birthday money to buy the gun himself as with this post.... a little quick to abet the gun control narrative to get their facts straight?
The above tease on the headline states his Dad bought the gun, the the Grandfather states he bought it with birthday money. Maybe he gave his Dad the birthday money to buy him a gun?
Arrested in February but was he on paper as convicted or otherwise proven guilty because if not there would exist no restriction to purchase over pending legalities in most cases.
From what I've read I don't think that's true in SC
