This is a grossly unrepresentative chart. The statistics are rubbish.
What you are showing is a graph of the general economic situation. This includes private industry and the scattered remains of the middle and working classes.
These people are unimportant.
If you show a graph of the economic standings of the most important people in the country--those best and brightest, like myself, who are in the sector of government employ--you will notice an achingly beautiful, skyrocketing line jolting into the upper stratosphere of wealth.
In other words, I am doing quite well in the Obama era, thank you very much.
You? Well, who cares? Perhaps you can always sell your Bush era trinkets on eBay.
