Chicago releases video of cop shooting black teen

Chicago releases video of cop shooting black teen. The video was just released. We note the following.

1. There is no sound, so you can hear what’s going on on the radio, any commands that were issued to Laquan McDonald or any words said by the police post shooting.

2. It appears obvious McDonald did not follow commands. We assume he was probably told to stop numerous times, probably told to drop his knife (if he had one) and put his hands where they could be seen numerous times before being shot.

3. According to the officer’s attorney the video is edited. It appears to us to only show a couple of bullets hitting McDonald when it’s claimed he was shot 16 times.

4. It is alleged that Officer Van Dyke shot McDonald 16 times, by himself, then reloaded. You can’t see this or hear it on the tape. That’s the part we find incredible with all those officers there. No other dashcams running?

Note: This video is longer. The first 5 minutes were the officer driving to the scene so we started it at 5:00 just before the shooting occurred.

Update: The city paid the family $5 million in an alleged cover-up attempt.

Update: Chicago PD allegedly went into a nearby Burger King and deleted 86 minutes of video.

Update: No one had a taser?

Now we can wait and see what happens in Chicago.

  • I'm sure you all remember the last time a black punk shot another black punk. The rioting, the looting, the burning,.....no, wait. Never mind.

  • He wasn't even the closest cop. I'm really at a loss as to why he emptied his mag, and incredibly got 16 for 16 hits. That's more hits than the NYPD gets in over 300 shots.

    I still want to see the whole video, and there has to be some audio from some source.

    • The chitcago police department is not normal in any sense of the word and hasn't been for decades...It is who you are and how you vote and who you contribute too that determines where you end up..In the Ghetto or in the office..
      Had a friend years ago that worked for them, hated it, left and moved to Kalifornia. He said he was constantly tested by his superiors, about who he would vote for, what rallies he was going to attend, and how much of his paycheck he was willing to contribute to the right candidates..Corruption from the top down.

    And the "black" activist I just saw on Kelly's show on Fox blew her off when she corrected him & pointed out the real threat to young black males (not to mention bystanders) in that fine city. I had to turn it off, night.
