  Did you see the teachers union president?
  It looks like that is the furthest she has walked in 50 years!
  I'm surprised that they didn't have to cut out her bedroom wall to get her out of the house!

  • Maybe they DID cut her out. As a union President, maybe she has not had to leave her home in decades!

• Rush says that the union is going on strike so Obama can show up and stop it - get huge publicity and look like he's actually accomplished something in his miserable term. Since the union is totally in his bag, and Raim is the mayor of Chicago, this certainly could be a possibility.

• Considering how I read something today that most 8th graders in Chicago can't read, maybe it's time to shitcan the whole bunch of them.

  • Most Americans (of those that DO read) read at about a 5th grade level. That's how the Libs get away with this stuff. They go off to get edumacated in college, then come out to explain to the rest of the population that since they are SOOOO much more edumacated and smart, they need to TELL you howto live, eat, BREATHE. Its for your own good, after all. Bless their hearts!

• This is a dilemma. I have no clue who to root for in this situation. I despise teachers unions, but I also despise Rahm. But I guess my loathing of the "its-for-the-chiiiiillllllllldren" teacher unions is worse. Ew. Team Rah.. rahhhhhh.. ra.... nope - can't say it!

  • I'm rooting for the kids. They're are getting screwed. Sorry, but with the mayor and the teachers' union, they don't stand a chance of coming out of this in a better position than when this started.

    • They never did. Lived near Chicago years ago, and the donks had been riding school reform into office for years. You'd think that in 40-some-odd years, someone would f*ck up and reform the schools -- but no -- too useful to leverage a hopelessly broken system that generates all kinds of human misery for political gain. Pretty much sums up the liberal mindset -- just like ol' "Vouchahs? You don' need no steenking vouchahs" Obama.

• WTH? Fork it over. Simply tax the hell out of anyone in Shitcago that has a dime. They vote for this crap, or allow the corruption to "adjust" the vote so they get this crap. Who cares????? Seems that the vote is always very heavily democrap in Shitcago so I dont see what the problem is. They want 16% give it to them, they want 200%, give it to them. When there are no taxpayers left in Shitcago, print Shitcago money and give it to them. They can use it in what Shitcago stores are left open....if any.

• According to the wookie last week, teachers are working for free and supplying their class rooms out of their own pockets. I guess that part of her speech was inaccurate or just flat out a lie.

  From the appearance this looks like a crisis to me. Will Emanuel let it go to waste?

  • Actuallym it is absolutely true in some areas. ( I don't know about working for FREE, but they aren't gettingpaid much. Overall I think teachers get a bad rap. There are many devoted teachers, who love their childrem and want to help them make all their dreams come true for a happy and successful life. The do after school tutoring (that IS forfree) the decorate their rooms out of their own pockets, and pay for supplies the school doesn't hae the budget to cover. These few who are striking for a 16% raise when most of America hasn't seen a raise in a decade, and who odemand ever more for themselves in light of the current economic siituation are simplyu low life, greedy people. No wonder they like Obama. They are just like him!

  • If I were mayor Chicago that is exactly what would happen. I would have had replacements lined up, teachers aides, retired teachers, almost anyone with some college experience, any Joe Blow off the street as long as they could read, write and knew math, ready to step into the classrooms.

    Anybody that thinks Rahm will do that is delusional. The unions keep his machine oiled and he ain't about to go against the thugs who are hurting the children in Chicago.
