I clearly don't understand the concept of a hate crime. First I didn't understand why we needed a special category. After all, when you shoot or rob someone, its not likely they are your best friend. Then they said it had to be determined that it was motivated by hate, which I thought was going to be tricky, to figure out what people THOUGHT about doing, and why. And now we have graffitti painted on the wall of a Christian owned restaurant during a protest of what the owner said about his personal beliefs. The message actually SAYS hate, but its not a hate crime? I'm so confused.
As described....this is a gay man....by definition he cannot hate.
It wasn't a hate crime (I don't believe in hate crimes) but it was a crime. At the least Mr. Castro should pay for the costs incurred by Chick-fil-A, plus a substantial fine (say $500) and 80 hours of community service.
...and maybe a swift kick in his self-righteous ass.
That sounds good. Community Service is a big deal to the left. They think we all should be doing it.
One small set of rules for liberals, one large set for the rest of us....I would like to meet the vandal, and perhaps introduce him to the fun of spray painting his face with lime green spray paint...
More evidence that so-called hate crime and hate speech laws are designed to punish Christians and conservatives, not liberals.
