China threatens massive venting of super greenhouse gases in attempt to extort billions as UNFCCC meeting approaches. The fuss is about a gas named HFC-23. The UN-backed EU carbon offset trading markets were paying China lotsa money to destroy HFC-23 until they figured out China was MAXIMIZING the production of the gas – so they could get paid lotsa MORE money to destroy it. When the EU carbon cultists decided to stop paying to have the gas destroyed, China demanded “either you pay up or we’ll release the HFC-23 into the atmosphere.” The carbon-trading extortion racket finds itself being extorted. Irony.

Let them release the gas. If the AGW crowd is right and the climate actually shifts, the Chinese will starve because the last of their productive farmland will vanish.

I thought that myself. If China releases these gases, the first place it's gonna go is over their airspace. What's more, they live on this planet just like the Europeans. If you assume the Chinese are not madmen, the logical conclusion is that they don't consider the alleged threat from greenhouse gases to be all that severe. They're manipulating the eco-weenie Euros, playing their stupid carbon-trading game and bleeding the dopes for all they're worth. But the Chinese don't believe the BS themselves.
