Chuck Schumer: Why can we be like we were after 9/11/2001?

Schumer: We didn’t exploit the tragedy to renew debates about the size or role of government. We confronted challenges first — and considered the politics later. Chucky longs for the the halcyon days of 2001 when we didn’t waste good crises, we just went out and spent money like there was no debt ceiling. But now, thanks to those damn Tea Party racists, voters are demanding folks like Schumer actually count how much money they’re flushing and fret about how many overpaid “assistants to the chief administrator’s assistant” are larding up government payrolls. Sorry if gubbermint’s no fun anymore pal, but your way of “confronting challenges” has created a much bigger challenge: the gargantuan bill for your miserable stewardship is coming due.

  • Schumer is a political whore.

Let's take the son of a bitch out!

I'm allowed to say that now. Jay Carney...who said he speaks for the President...did not disown it!
