If a complaint was actually made against the sign, let them tell the bar *who* made the complaint.

Well, it seems that I siphoned off enough of their power that the breakers went off. In both hands, out both feet, standing in water up to my knees. An interesting experience, but not one that I would recommend to anyone. It leaves a lasting impression, to say the least.
As for the sign, I'd tell the city to take it down themselves, and sue them when they do. There is NOTHING offensive about that sign.

If I were the owner of the fine establishment, I think I would have a veteran's night on the same night as the city council, just starting way earlier with two for one drinks, free beer and food, and then pack everyone in a bus or two or three or four and fill out those little fucking comment cards to be allowed to speak my mind for three minutes...after about 100 or so vets, the might realize they just pissed in their own soup....
Make sure there are plenty of Hell's Angels among those Veterans.
