• 3-6 million of a 232 to 332 million dollar portfolio is in oil stock? While this can be considered hypocritical considering his public stand against big oil, l wouldn't call it a portfolio that is weighted with evil oil stocks. With roughly one percent of the total portfolio value in oil stocks, he's really not even using them for diversification. He's a dbag of the first order, but I can't call him out on this.

  • It's not the percentage of his investments that is hypocritical, it's the dollar amount.

    • To me, he'd be a hypocrite if he had one dollar invested in oil.

  • Think of it this way. Kerry is a devout follower of the "climate change" religion, yet has a small amount of his portfolio invested in oil. What if a devout Christian owned stock in some Nevada whorehouses? Even just a little. Would he not be considered a hypocrite?

      conversely, every tax-paying American Christian owns a small part of Planned Parenthood (AKA Abortion mill) yet, wait, that's NOT the same thing.
      mebbe, jist mebbe Tax-paying American Christians need to quit being so complacent about what they're allowing the govt. to do with their money!
