  • Who's surprised...? Anybody?

    It is easy to mock people whose philosophies in life do not include bombing or decapitating people that disagrees with them, or people who do not want to submit to any form of tyranny.

    CNN is a joke and it will continue to be as long as has these liberal crap.

  • Did anybody expect anything else from a propaganda outlet like the Communist News Network? They're lucky nobody has organized a march on their corporate headquarters in Atlanta, and give them the "Sherman" treatment.

  • Did anyone notice the one thing missing from the rallies today?
    Where were the NPS brownshirts?
    Could it be they were afraid to stand their ground against veterans and bikers?

    • This WWII closure is not playing well for Obama. Not at all like he figured. He assumed the citizens would act like sheep and merely grumble. When they actively opposed this and started linking this nonsense directly to Obama by marching on DC and carrying the barrycades to the WH, it was time to disengage and find other mean, vindictive ways to harrass citizens. He told his brownshits to stand down. In fact, it was reported one of these hostile-last week park guards came out ans shook the hand of one of the vets and said, "welcome to your memorial". Under orders to behave in front of the cameras.

      • Well, Missile, maybe the GOP ought not to have shut down the government, if it was important to them to keep those memorials open. Did you seriously think it was right or constitutional for a bunch of right wing extremists to go on strike, and then pick and choose which government functions they wanted to be exempted?

        • Arguing with indoctrinated democrats is in most cases pointless. But in this case I can use it to make some useful points on the subject at hand.

          Point 1 -Obama is in control of administrating these memorials via NPS. He and his minions closed them as a strategy. His way of bullying the public and GOP to relent to his demands. Doesn't this seem extreme? To close an otherwise open monument on purpose? Mean vindictive syncophants like Obama are the extremistis in this story. The WWII vets didn't carry barrycades to congress, they brought them to the White House where Obama lives.

          Point 2 - congress, under the constitution, controls the money. If any of you Obamabots ever read the thing you would know this. Now I am sure you prefer a dictatorship where your dear Leader controls all, but as long as we have a constitution that is not the case. Spending bills are supposed to originate in the House, go to Senate for approval, have the Senate and House meet to iron out dfferences, then send spending bills to the president for signature.

          Republicans control the house and have made sent numerous spending bills to the Senate. Democrats control the Senate and refuse to consider any bills form the house. Obama the bully advises his minions to refuse to consider bills from the house. So there are two segments of the government refusing to do their parts under the constitution. The Senate democrats and WH and their media allies assume they can bully and propagandize their way to a better deal. Get what they want without having to consider what the opposition wants. Is this democracy? Is it fair debate of the issues? Is this what you democrats and Obamabots want to happen to YOU when there is a republican president and senate?

          Democrats are demonstrating they are pathetic, small minded control freaks. They are cowards, only brave when they have the power to bully people into submission. And Obama is the patron saint of the left wing bullies.

          • Speaking of the stupidity of closing open air monuments, Obama ordered Mount Rushmore closed, you try to stop alongside the road and take a picture, his brownshirts from the NPS run you off. Which makes me wonder why they didn't pull this shit during the Sturgis Bike Rally. ;-)

          • This is true. I spoke last week with an outfitter/guide at Zion NP. I asked if they were enforcing the park closure. He conformed that they were monitoring trails and giving $500 tickets and they were writing citations for people that were stopping cars and taking pictures. For the first time in my life, I'm embarrassed and ashamed to be an American.

        • Poopajoe, the simple truth is that those memorials would be open if the right hadn't pitched a hissy fit and shut down the government. Don't blame Obama for that. Blame the Congressional representatives who try to get their way by threats and strongarming instead of due process.

          • Only the other 18 times the government shut down....you know, like when Tip O'Neill did it to force a Congressional pay raise, the open air memorials were left open. Maybe you've never been to the WWII memorial but it is just off a street on the mall. It takes far more effort to barricade it then just to leave it as is.

            By the way, only 18% of the federal government is actually closed. The furloughed workers will get back pay and we are all learning just how unnecessary "nonessential" workers really are. Well, except for left wing loons who just can't get enough of Big Government and regard it as a jobs program for otherwise unemployable people.

    • No, they may have been pissed that they weren't militarized like their buddies in the Department of Education. They didn't get those killer, black, military grade, ballistic armor uniforms and those totally cool black Kevlar helmets and knee pads and elbow pads and those really neat black M-16A2's...yeah the NPS thinks it sucks, so they're taking the day off and sulking, like a bunch of thumb sucking kindergartners.

  • What pisses off CNN is that there were more people there in person then actually watch CNN at any 1 time.

  • Of course CNN will do this. The vets conducted themselves in a civil order and showed what true Americans are all about. Not like the takers who only have their damn hands out demanding that they are owed something and that they should be taken care of and allowed to take any one's property they wish.

    Work hard and its not yours, free load and what ever you wish you can have.
