I heard they had taken a firefighting chemical out of Coke and I thought they meant the water...
Gotta watch that dihydrogen oxide!!!
Very deadly if ingested improperly, or in too high a dosage.
nor should one try to snort it.
feh. my bad, you said ingest. tsk tsk tsk @ myself.
My question is how long have they been using this stuff? It's much like the aspartame and Saccharin which they are now finding out are worse then the sugar it replaces.
Saccharine is actually pretty safe as artificial ingredients go. The studies that "proved" it was dangerous we're poorly done, and the results were not replicable by anyone else. There were major . Problems with the study the results and the analysis of those results. Aspartame is bad. Period. The other sweeteners have problems affecting metabolism, and have been shown to actually cause weight gain. Even the "anti tee AL sweeteners do this. If you aren't diabetic, you really should eliminate these from your diet. Everyone needs to reduce their use.
I have even stopped using Crystal Light and similar teas, and brew my own and sweeten with saccharine. I think it sweetens better than sugar! Now, I have to keep looking for sodas that use Splenda.
I use saccharin for my tea. It maintains a sharpness to the taste. I use Allen's for every e turning else, and I try not to use much of that either.
Saccharine was given to mice in doses 100,000 times what would ever be used. There is no real proof it is dangerous.
BTW, with the chemical Coke is dropping, it was in Gatorade and Mountain Dew for a long time too, Pepsi just dropped it too.
One of the first jobs I had as a kid was working during the summer at a Coke-a-Cola bottling plant where my father worked...me and some other kids got a buck an hour to sit on a chair, open bottles of Tab and Fresca and dump them down the sewer after the government (in their wisdom) decided that mice could not drink ten thousand bottles of Saccharine a day without getting cancer...I am sure we did a lot for the wastewater treatment plant, but hey it was making money plus we got free ice cold Cokes.....
I use stevia (Truvia Brand).
How do you brominate a vegetable oil? What does that mean?
ya mix it in with this stuff somehow i think.
Bromine (from Greek: βρῶμος, brómos, meaning "strong-smelling" or "stench")[3] is a chemical element with the symbol Br, and atomic number of 35. It is in the halogen group (17). The element was isolated independently by two chemists, Carl Jacob Löwig and Antoine Jerome Balard, in 1825–1826. Elemental bromine is a fuming red-brown liquid at room temperature, corrosive and toxic, with properties between those of chlorine and iodine. Free bromine does not occur in nature, but occurs as colorless soluble crystalline mineral halide salts, analogous to table salt.
Bromine is rarer than about three-quarters of elements in the Earth's crust; however, the high solubility of bromide ion has caused its accumulation in the oceans, and commercially the element is easily extracted from brine pools, mostly in the United States, Israel and China. About 556,000 tonnes were produced in 2007, an amount similar to the far more abundant element magnesium.[4]
Bromides also occur naturally in very high levels in seafoods.
Careful; where Joe Biden comes from, those are fightin' words.
Dude, Bro
