The US has been sending aid to, and bailing out, other countries since WW-I, to the tune of Billions of dollars a year, and what do we get in return? Shit on at every turn!
There isn't even one European country that has paid us back any of the money we lent them to rebuild after WW-II. With interest, we could pay off our debt if we were repaid that money! We never ask for it because it would bankrupt everyone! So instead, we are going bankrupt, borrowing money from China, to give to countries that hate us!
Yeah, and it feels so good helping others ruin our great Republic.
Nigel, as an American living in Germany, I can state with some authority that the German people are tired of it also. They never wanted the Euro, but their government pushed it through against their wishes.

The Greeks and Europe, I am anti- Europe it does not work and never will. At some point they (greeks) will default, so what ! It will not make any difference to the people in the uk, my god the eurozone was the biggest mistake this country has ever made (UK). It is run by the Germans for the Germans, we should pull out now, thank god we still have the English Pound and not the Euro. We should be trading with the US & China much more, we are not European never have been & and never will be period.
Germany is the one that should pull out, taking the rug out from under the feet of the others as they go. Just like America should pull out of the U.N. and leave them hanging, with no country of any substance to bail them out.
