Darrell Issa says Lois Lerner is testifying Wednesday

• Turns out it was Lerner's lawyer who was lying. Issa released emails showing the lawyer agreeing that she would testify without preconditions and without pleading the Fifth. Why this lawyer then told Politico that no such thing would happen is something only he can explain. It wouldn't be the first time a lawyer lied through his teeth and it wouldn't be the first time Politico fabricated a story.

It always amazes me how stupid some girls can be about guys like that -- throw away the best years of their life on a boy who treats them like dirt, won't commit to supporting her when she's vulnerable, and when she stops being young and exciting, dumps her for someone else.

When I was in my twenties I was walking up my parents' walk toward the house when a neighbor's two basset hounds surprised me at the corner of the garage, baying at us like only basset hounds can do. They came at us from my side and before I could gain cognitive control of my physical reactions I'd jumped ten feet in the air and to the right so that I came down on the other side of my girlfriend... in other words, so that SHE was between me and the dogs. If you could have seen the look she gave me afterward - it was enough to peel slabs of paint off my parents' garage. I tried to explain that I was leaping into action, into a position where I could pull her to safety before engaging the vicious dogs in battle, but she didn't buy it. The feminine screech I let slip during my leap was too much to overcome.

• Drag her lying ass in front of the cameras and force her to either answer questions or go to jail for perjury, obstruction of congress and for being a quagmire hack. No immunity for her.

  • My dad and I were talking about it this evening. We figure if she's willing to testify now, it's because she and her lawyer have rehearsed the necessary lies to the point where they feel confident they can sell them, not because she suddenly wants to do the right thing.
