This is the leftist position. You can't defend yourself when facing evil. They all feel as if we the police will be there in a flash of an eye. That isn't going to happen. Its time to face reality there Mr. Dip Shit. There are evil individuals who have only evil intent in their hearts and minds. Admit that evil will do evil when left unchallenged. This is a proven fact throughout history. Only when people push back, take steps to ensure to challenge and protect themselves will evil people realize that the outcome is not something that they wish to see.

These are the more evolved, more intelligent, the people anointed by Gaia, I suppose, to lead the masses. The masses are composed of not really human individuals, but of some form of life that is barely above animals. He truly believes that if someone or a few people in that church had guns, that there would have been some sort of shoot-em-up like you see in some street gang movie, or an old western. Actually, it probably would not have even gotten to this mass murder - having guns, the churchgoers would have shot each other up long ago.
He really believes that guns are the problem, because EVERYONE is a lower form of life, who, the moment he comes into possession of a gun, becomes a potential killer. All of us benighted are the effect of a Pavlov's dog phenomena.
No amount of evidence of people using firearms to prevent crime, or prevent a worse crime will change his viewpoint. Because whatever evidence you show, it runs into that idee' fixe. The Progressives view point and solutions for violence are literally crazy. They keep calling for more gun control, and it works less and less.
Once again, repeat it to your friends. We don't have a gun problem we have a crazy drug problem. We have crazy fighting over illegal drug distribution and the related gang violence and we have a SSRIs causing people some people to act crazy and kill themselves- and a few a year decide to take a few people with them. Active shooters- almost to a man- are some one-off phenomena, they are a subsect of people ill served by our psych medical system.
