While dead children are being pulled out from the rubble, it is not necessary for people like this to start their Captain Planet brigade talk. You can leave the CP brigade talk for another time when people have had a good time to mourn their dead and had time to start building again. This is disgusting and utterly unnecessary.

If they werent so smugly sure of themselves back in the 70s, saying that man's aerosol emissions were the result of the cooling,
If they hadnt have doggedly assumed they were correct, then needed to find another fitting parameter when it started warming,
They never would have assumed CO2 was responsible, because they never would have ASSUMED that it was man's aerosols that were doing things like breaking up the Ozone layer - and also nevermind there that its an entirely natural mechanism and most of man's aerosol emissions dont even reach those heights, because they are heavier.

TSI is NOT a comprehensive numerical representation of the sun's effect on the earth, so when your equations treat it as such, you MUST introduce other fudge factors.
I called all of this back in about 2003 after doing what, 6 months of cursory study on it (well, sunspot funk messing with the jetstream aside, i only figured that out after watching it happen.) Which included a bunch of emails to james hansen, who I concluded was an ideological zealot after that correspondence.

Oh, and btw, I was living in Wichita Falls, TX, when we had a brutal F4 that destroyed everything in its path. But that was in 1979 (April 10) during the big "global cooling" phase that never happened.
April & May are huge tornado months around tornado alley. But don't let facts get in the way of a cause.
1975: we had the coolest Spring on record. Scientists predicted global cooling with increased glaciers - predicted the global temp would be several degrees cooler right now. Then it got hot again, so scientists predicted global warming with the exact opposite gloom & doom as previously stated.
We are having the second coolest Spring on record and now scientists are saying there will be a long cooling period (some suggest 100 - 200 years).
My question: When was the last time they were right? Stop predicting the weather 50 years from now - start getting Thursday right first and we'll build from there.
I'd settle for them getting YESTERDAY right!
