Democrats boycott Coke, Walmart over voter ID laws. Launching a “two pronged attack” on states with voter ID laws, one being a call to boycott Coke, Walmart and others that back an organization pushing for such laws. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway owned (according to their most recent 13-F dated 3/31/2011) almost 200 million shares of Coca Cola and 39 million shares of Wal Mart. We’re sure he’s selling today to support this noble effort.

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages.   • If I have to show my vet ID to have my pets checked out. Why in the HELL should not those who wish to vote not have to show ID? It's an attempt to Chicago rig the national elections. As for the boycotts, guess Warren will be calling his buddy barry and ask for his assitance. Good luck with that happening.

  • I can't stand Coke, (Pepsi person here), so I would like nothing better for them to fall on their (apparently "lean forward") faces.

    When are these companies going to get it through their heads that they had better start standing for something or they will not exist in a few years?

    So I say we make them take a stand and a side! If everyone boycotts them, let's see what they do.

  • Simple solution to the Coke problem, buy the Wal-Mart brand of cola, Sam's Choice!
    I love Coke, have been a big fan all my life. My brother works for them. It's a sad day for me.

  • So are we not drinking Coke? I guess I'll just have to drink my Jack Daniels straight. It'll still be the best part of waking up.

    • My Dad worked for them at a bottling plant for 30 years..I was a bottle fed baby. Coke Bottle..:)

  • About the only thing coke is good for is cleaning brass, the citric acid does a number on the oxidation. As for Walmart, go to one of the 24 hour ones around midnight and bring a camera!!

  • So, now all the Republicans and conservatives should boycott Coke instead. I already don't drink that shit, so in my case it's moot.

  • Just send Coke Co. an email. I won't be buying their stuff anymore. Me and the wife are off to Wal-Mart to buy some stuff. I hate cowardly companies that bend over when threated by democraps.
