Oregon Democrat Earl Blumenauer has introduced a bill with the heartwarming and hard-to-oppose title of the “Water Protection and Reinvestment Act.”
It will be “financed broadly by small fees on such things as bottled beverages, products disposed of in wastewater, corporate profits, and the pharmaceutical industry.”
“Fees on what,” you may ask.
“Damn near everything,” we would respond.
A 3% excise tax will be slapped on anything that can be disposed of in wastewater. That includes things like toothpaste, cosmetics and toilet paper. A 4% excise tax will be added to water beverages.
Blumenauer’s logic is that “…these products wind up in the water stream and require clean up by sewage treatment plants.”
There’s no end to the Democrat creativity in Washington, DC these days.

I predict meters installed betwixt our buttcheeks so's they can tax farts.
I personally use the form letters sent out by the DNC to cleanse my anus. I feel better pooping on paper that already is full of excrement. Its like recycling.

You know, I have wondered why our communist friends aren't doing more to help the starving polar bears. We seem to have an abundance of idiots, and the bears are hungry. What is so hard to figure out? By all means, let's reduce the carbon footprint and then we won't have to worry about so much toilet paper use.
