• This needs to be the end of the American version of city-states that totally hijack the resources of the nation with out of control spending that they could never hope to pay. The idea of "too big to fail" is BS. Too big to save is more like it, & it's time to forsake Detroit, & other major cities that have been run into the grave by 1 party rule where awesome public sector union packages were the rule, & a massive welfare population that needs gov't to survive because they are basically pets who mooch from those who promise them to take care of all their "needs".

  Nobody anywhere in the country should be paying for Detroit, & when it happens, watch it happen again. Hell, IL Governor Quinn is already mooching for a bailout of public sector union pensions that are $200 billion in the hole. Making people in other states who had nothing to do with the corrupt deals made by IL or Detroit but forcing taxpayer dollars to cover their asses is immoral, & it's gonna happen. So what happens then?

• First we have that idiot judge Aquilina saying Detroits bankruptcy is illegal because it doesn't honor the Big O. Then we hear Melissa Harris-Perry say Detroit is "an example of what Republicans would impose on us."

  Now, the biggest WTF! award goes to Ed Schultz. He is claiming that "Detroit's ruin was actually the end result of a CONSERVATIVE utopia." Detroit has been run by liberal Democrats for 60 years and he is blaming conservative policies? WTF!

• I'll be willing to be we end up paying for this. At least to fund the union pensions, a lot of which "mysteriously" has found its way into the Union bosses off shore bank accounts. Ocommie has to take care of his fellow commies.

• I look for Kalifornia to be the first state to file for bankuptcy protection within 5 years. Out of control spending, welfare, too many state employees with benefits most of us can only dream of, illegal immigration, everthing they do is designed to bring down a state which used to truly be the "Golden State."
