Detroit has been dubbed “the most liberal city in America” where progressive policies still prevail. Howzat workin’ out? In 1950, Detroit was the wealthiest city in America on a per capita income basis. Now, the 2nd poorest after Cleveland. Yeah, but it’s not the policies, it’s the implementation. What do you call something that nobody seems to be able to do correctly? In the real world, we call something like that “unworkable.” In politics, we call it “progressive.”

We all can SEE the outcome of the progressive machine, yet we ignore it. Do we think it cannot happen in OUR city/town? I expect the folks in Detroit thought that too, yet here we are. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!! Quit voting party lines, get serious about researching candidates and hold their feet to the fire for what is right. A democracy requires an educated and involved populace. Over the last 3-4 decades, we have lost both. Time to step up, quit blaming, and start working for REAL change, not the hopey kind. Hope does not create change. Dedication and WORK brings change.
I believe the people in Detroit voted for exactly what they got. They just didn't understand what effect it would have in the long run.

What was that movie, "Escape from New York"? Put a fence around it, make it a prison, fill it with crooked politicians (those in Detroit can just stay) Child Molesters, OWS'ers, George Soros and Family, and a general sprinkling of liberals that we "vote" into the prison...ah er..new society. Let them build their utopia and live the way they want, they just can not come outside the walls, and once they check in they can never leave. It could be like a giant social experiment, see how it works out for them, when you get all those people that just want to steal from each other, it could be fun to watch, put it on "pay per view" and let the fun begin....and if it gets out of control, or too crowded, a small nuke and start over.
Can we toss the entire Kennedy clan in there, too? Or was that covered under crooked politicians?

Detroit, poster child for the Liberal / Progressive way of life. Keep re-electing "Dear Leader" and his pals and your town WILL look just like Detroit.
Detroit is so decrepit it has been featured in "Life After Man". The population is declining, the education system is an utter failure, public services are sporatic, public transit is a disaster, industry has fled. The city is full of crumbling buildings, empty stores, abandoned factories and a massive ruinous train station. Almost all its remaining population is dependent on government subsidies and payouts while drug/alcohol abuse and crime are rampant.
Thank you progressive Democrats and union thugs.

One of the milestones on their road to "success", were the riots after the MLK assassination. The libs started catering to the underclass and with the "help" of the unions, a staged gas shortage and foreign imports, the rest is history.
Yeah, I live in Cleveland and it's been run to the ground by Democrats for decades. So embarassing. Our tagline for our city should really bad "At least we're not Detroit."

Detroit is the most liberal city, & it's a sh!thole. It was when I was went there in 85 & it's still one today. Also, you gotta like the report about Chicago being the most corupt city in the nation. What do these cities have in common?

Here is a short list question: Name 5 cities that have been controlled by Democrats/Progressives for the past 30 years that are highly successful with low taxes, great public schools, and a booming business economy. Yet voters just keep returning the idiots to power.
