Dick Cheney heartlessly mocked: Now that former VP Dick Cheney has been the recipient of a heart transplant many on the left have come out to express some of the ire they still have towards the man. These responses have ranged from the jocular to the downright sinister -hoping for he death of the man. Yet no one is calling to censure this speech, or demand that it conform to some imaginary standard necessary for useful discourse. No one is calling for censorship. No one is calling for government intervention at all. That is because we still believe in the 1st Amendment. Not just when it is convenient. Not just when it is expedient. But at all times and for all times. Liberals take a lesson.

The left blame Cheney for a lot of things...seems like their VPs do nothing at all. Gore stayed invisible and all Biden does is run around and campaign for Obama. I guess in the Republican party, being a VP actually means something.
And don't get me started on first ladies...Hillary/Michele are more activist, while Nancy/Laura were more supportive/maternal (Nancy - just say no to drugs and Laura - stamp out illiteracy).

Liberalism and radical islam are the same in that they both preach love, acceptance and tolerance, but instead have none of that for anyone that disagrees with them.
I've seen Leno tell so may jokes over the years with the basic punchline of: Cheney is so heartless. Cheney doesn't have a heart. And then I'll think to myself: Why are the rabid Pro-Abortionists former Vice President Gore and Vice President Biden thought to have such big hearts? I think that as a Representative Cheney had a 100% Pro-Life voting record.
Dick has a heart of gold. I met him when I was in the Army I think he was working for Rummy over at defense then. He laughs and jokes just like any other man (especially a soldier) It was one of my personal high spots in life shaking his hand. Also got to shake hands with Cap Wienberger. That was cool too. The republicans always did treat the troops the best.
Lefties are jealous of Vice-President Cheney. They've had the healthy hearts but he has the healthy brain they've always wanted.

Cheney is today's Liberal flavor of the month, they by design, must mock, insult and slur anyone they disagree with. It makes them feel important since they have nothing else in life. They always will tell you their ideas are better, they are smarter, the are ways right...but when it comes down to it, you have a bunch of childish, lazy, self important asshats who provide NOTHING for the common good of the country..The gimmies, gimme money, gimmee free shit, kill the conservatives cause they want to cut off the free shit. Yeah you noticed that too? A lot of the allegedly higher discourse was how this sparks the debate on who "deserves" to get a heart transplant - with the obvious implication of course that Cheney didn't.

No kidding! If he was next on the list, then he deserved the transplant, period. Don't like it, haters? Go out and sign an organ donor card today. We are woefully short of donors in this country, and it should be noted that donors have NO say over who their organs go to, so the comments insulting the donor* were particularly out of line.
*I read about this elsewhere and there were some vile things directed toward the deceased donor of the heart that Cheney received.

No I think Dick was on that list for a couple years going back to when he first started having trouble with the pacemaker while he was VP.
I got a facebook lecture by some lib lawyer on the meaning of free speech and how I am wrong coming to the defense of Rush by not signing a petition to have him removed by a local station. Well fuck him and liberals fuck you. You still enjoy the same rights I do, you just don't understand the responsibility that goes with those rights. One is to respect the rights of others.

I had to tell an old high school friend once that I would gladly take a bullet for her freedom of speech. Therefor I would appreciate it if she didn't disparage mine. She had gone off on her Facebook page that some people (conservatives) didn't deserve the freedom of speech and should be muzzled. She removed me from her "friends.". Of course this was AFTER she tried to tell me how much more tolerant her and her liberal friends were compared to me and my conservative ones.

Well, having hung around online with majority-left groups and majority-right, I can tell you that one of the defining differences between the two is that the right recognizes the left's right to exist, and to dissent, and to speak. The left does not accord the right the same respect.
Freedom of speech is not on conditions. It is a freedom that is universal, even those speeches that are distasteful for an individual person.

I saw a clip in which NBC medical correspondent Nancy Snyderman said there should be a debate on how old is too old to receive a heart transplant. Her implication was that Cheney was too old for one. But Cheney is 71, and I think his family would appreciate having him around for a few more years. I think we should be concerned about death panels and rationing under liberals. They're not particularly known for their belief in the sacredness of human life and they think too many human beings are overburdening Mother Earth.

There should be a debate as to why it's NBC's or anybody else's business whether someone who is old should receive a heart transplant when their insurance covers it and the transplant protocol rules have been followed. But it's not really about that, is it? This manipulative media fraud wouldn't be bringing any of this up if it were Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy who needed a transplant, would she?
Teddy would've needed a liver but his brain blew up instead Bill just needs alot of anti-biotics for STD's. And I'm sure the Cheney family paid the entire bill with their own money no insurance needed.
