Dog bites man again: another Obama-supported solar energy company bites the dust. Solar Trust for America received $2.1 billion in conditional loan guarantees from the DOE – “the largest amount ever offered to a solar project,” according to non-car owner Steven Chu – for a project near Blythe, CA, but declared bankruptcy within a year. Maybe we should stop calling it “bankruptcy” and start calling it “solar-ruptcy.” Or better yet, “Obama-ruptcy.”

You know, at some point in time, when enough research has been done, there will probably be some forms of green energy that are viable, cost effective, and don't screw up the environment more than the old ways. But this Administration is giving the entire industry a bad name. When the truth comes out about all this crap, (after Obama is unelected), everyone is going to look at any green energy projects as just another taxpayer swindle. Way to destroy what could some day be a viable industry, Obama.

This is one of those Pie in the sky projects Governor Moonbeam is all fired up about..He was there with Obama saying how Kalifornia is the leader in Solar power...Yea the leader in solar powered bankruptcy..Maybe the green people ought to be happy, there was no huge carbon footprint when solar trust went tits up....This was suppose to help while the Naughty Nuclear plant near San Luis Obispo was taken out of service to make sure it won't blow up and melt Kalifornia..Now the state is predicting rolling brownouts cause of a power shortage..Between the green morons and the liberals, we will have no power for parts of the day, next we will be living in caves and eating poo. Liberals-spending your money on worthless shit day in and day out.

Well the only answer is to increase oil taxes, discourage oil exploration, and increase regulation so that Unicorn type energy sources become affordable. And by Affordable I mean unaffordable.
Women, minorities, and children hurt most. The democrat party way of keeping the downtrodden down. You never saw european royalty helping the peasants when they talked so much about it.
I am happy to see stories like these. Bankruptcies of big and old companies are happening left and right, newer companies too and start ups have lowered immensenly since Obama took office AND after the passing of Obamacare. There is a lot of damage being done to the business side of the country which means no entry level jobs which means more young people without money which means stupid OWS rallies.
I have a friend, a 17 year old guy, that's trying to get his first job. Nothing. Entry level jobs are all filled with experienced people, working well below their abilities.
Yep. A lot of people are also bailing on start ups because they cannot afford to keep the employees for they are leaving to go somewhere that has some form of healthcare. No matter what Obama says, people are AFRAID of either not being able to pay the Obamacare fee or of being caught up in a socialist healthcare. It is ugly out there... ugly.
