Millions of years ago, our ancestors came down from the trees, walked erect and kicked every other species asses. Now, if the eco-wackos have their way, we’ll soon reverse millions of years of evolution and return to the trees.

This is what’s known as progress to environmentalists.
PlanetaryOne.com explains the home of the future:
Our dwelling is composed with 100% living nutrients. Here traditional anthropocentric doctrines are overturned and human life is subsumed within the terrestrial environs. Home, in this sense, becomes indistinct and fits itself symbiotically into the surrounding ecosystem.
This home concept is intended to replace the outdated design solutions at Habitat for Humanity. We propose a method to grow homes from native trees. A living structure is grafted into shape with prefabricated Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) reusable scaffolds.
Yes. It’s a tree. A tree house, to be exact. Take your choice of closing lines:
1. Not only will you love it, but so will every dog in the neighborhood.
2. This is just what the housing industry needs to once again become a growth industry.
3. Only one problem. The builder says it won’t be ready to move into for another 50 years.

I already live in a "tree" house so I am good with it! Instead of some kind of "resuable scaffold" all the 2X6 wood studs are attatched to a solid foundation. The walls, inside and out, are paneled with materials made from recycled wood waste products. The floors and roof are plywood, another product made from wood waste material.
The only no-no I can see in my "tree" house is I have a petroleum product on my roof. It's called tarpaper and asphalt shingles but I promise the next time a hailstorm tears it up I'll try to find some kind of "reusable scaffold" stuff to replace it with.
Uhm... I don't agree that any of my ancestors came down from a tree, but regardless, at least my G-d seems to be okay with me living like a human being and not an insect or a monkey. Do these people really believe gaia wants us to live on trees? Cause shoot gaia can kiss my ass.
Hi Kimmy! Hope you had a great vacation! Glad you're back!
Yes I did! Thanks! I am glad to be back.
While living in a tree house may be a pipe dream for alot of people who enjoy racoon droppings, I might prefer to an underground home if built right. Or an old bomb bunker, with a car for a front door like John Malkovich's character in the movie, Red. It could be fun.

How about a deactivated Titan missle silo?
I beleive there are a few available for purchase.
I didnt know about Titan missle silos. I'll look into those, thank you! :)
I'm personally a fan of the "pig cell" meat house on their site. You enter and exit through a sphincter, and the whole house can be "grown" from pig cells.
Justin, the "pig meat" house has a problem.
Other materials in the model matrix are; collagen powder, xanthan gum, mannitol, cochineal, sodium pyrophosphate, and recycled PET plastic scaffold.
Mannitol is one of the primary powders used to "cut" cocaine and other powdered drugs. This house, should it catch on, will dramatically increase the cost of cocaine! How will the leftists survive without their "blow" or "crack"?
Well now, I hadn't thought of it that way, thank you for showing me a new perspective! I guess when ya spend so much time on the right, living the right way, you wouldn't think to look at how the left operates...
I wonder if the CPSC will have anything to say about the obvious lack of fire retardant properties in this design? After 50+ years of engineering fire retardant pajamas for children, they have come up with a 100% flammable house to put the fire retardant kids in!
Then there are the other logistical nightmares they forgot about. How is this heated and cooled? What are the costs? I'm guessing a fireplace is out of the question.
As the years go on, and this house gets bigger due to natural growth, what happens to the mounted fixtures like sinks, cabinets, windows, doors, etc. or did they come up with a way to make trees live without ever growing bigger?
Looks to me like fire isn't the only retarded thing in this idea.
Don't buy this baloney. I know this old lady who has the BEST house design... she lives in a BIG SHOE! (Unfortunately, she had so many children, she didn't know what to do...)
Must be on welfare.
What happens in the fall when it goes dormant and the giant leaf dies. I assume that's a leaf, it has veins like one. I guess it could be an evergreen but evergreens are continually shedding their leaves. New leaves are produced to replace the old. Trees in tropical rainforest's don't experience any winter but you have the same problem as evergreens. Maybe it's a giant gourd but those grow on vines. OH! I give up, it must have something to do with that prefabricated Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) reusable scaffold thing.
But then, what about structure for the wiring, plumbing, HVAC, insulation and such? It's no use. You just can't apply common sense to this.
Is it just me or does that model home look like it was made out of a half a head of cabage and some celery?
Its the perfect set up, if you run out of food just snack on the walls!
Global warming may occur more slowly and correct itself more quickly than
computer models have been predicting, a new study says.
The study, published in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing by Dr.
Roy Spencer, a principal research scientist in the Earth System Science Center
at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, reports the atmosphere may shed heat
much more quickly than previously thought — a potentially serious problem for
the computer models used to predict global climate trends.
For his study, Spencer compared a half dozen climate model predictions with
actual satellite data during an 18-month period before and after warming events
between 2000 and 2011.
“The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space
during and after warming than the climate models show,” Spencer said in a
University of Alabama press release. “There is a huge discrepancy between the
data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans.”
In addition, the study reports that the atmosphere begins to shed heat earlier
in the warming process than predicted. A major part of current global climate
theory holds that CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere, resulting in more cloud
cover and more heat — a positive feedback cycle.
Spencer’s analysis of satellite data shows the climate system starting to shed
heat more than three months before the typical warming event reaches its peak.

issues’)
Gavin Schmidt, a NASA Goddard climatologist, acknowledged the discrepancy
between predictions and satellite data in an interview with LiveScience.
“What this mismatch is due to — data processing, errors in the data or real
problems in the models — is completely unclear,” he said.
Duh... Could it be the global warming claims are 100% scam?
Very interesting, and undoubtedly true. But ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to do with the story.
Just an A.D.D. moment. Bless his heart.
Looks like it might be a good supply of firewood. If I wanted to live like Yoda I would already be there. I have about a thousand questions..Like where is the bathroom? Can you still get direct tv? Will they make you pay the mortgage to fannie mae while your house is growing? Do you get a 200 year payment plan? How do you keep little furry creatures from moving in? Can I install a ceiling fan? Will it have electricity? Do I have to eat recycled poo like Japan? The list goes on and on...Another idea from people who seem to have a lot of ideas and no comon sense.
As your house gets bigger, they keep increasing the "rent," er,.......um,........property tax.
