  • Page came to a debate with half a brain and left with no brain and very little ass after the kind ass chewing she got. What the left LBGT and others can't stand and flat out won't permit is a person of faith to exercise their faith when it contradicts what their agenda and beliefs are. That is not what the 1st Amendment is about and all those on the left flat out don't understand.

      • That is fine... she can think that. She looses at life, so she can have something to hold on to when life tumbles down invariably around her one day or another.

  • It is nice to see a Hollywood star being willing to lower herself enough to go to Iowa for anything other then being on location to film something. Page thinks she is smarter she is, & should really think twice before trying a stunt like this again.

    For the record, I have spent my share of time & money in Iowa since 2012. I go there for concerts, sports, & I golf there. I like it there.

  • Ted Cruz very nicely told her to STFU and STFD at least six times and she kept coming back with all that; but what about gays this and what about gays that, as if they were still being beaten up and dragged behind pich-up trucks. I remember gays being loud, noisy and in your face, way back in the late 1960's. I despised them then and I despise them now! They represent the foot soldiers of Satan and in many cases are the face of American Satanism and Wicca. Don't kid yourselves about their intentions, they were never driven out en masse and burned at the stake. Their grievances are largely contrived, the natterings of unresolved 'Daddy' issues. To the well adjusted few, I say congratulations, keep up the great work, but for the rest of this mentally disordered community I say; Get a life, find Jesus, confess your sin, get well and call me in the morning!

      Really?! I know that has happened to Blacks a lot, not sure there was a time where gays went through these issues. I mean gays can pretend not to be gay and to be part of heterosexual society and especially white gays they don't have to deal with any racial animosity in top of that. Gays are special in the sense that, if they want to, they can escape most bias and discrimination on the private sector and truly have no issues on the government area. Blacks and other minorities do not have that luxury.

      I've heard of gays here and there having issues or being killed. Many of them when you actually ask the people why they did it, they will say they didn't know that he or she were gay, it was just a random act of violence or theft and those that knew they were gay and killed them because they were gay, it is sad, but it is not something that happened frequently.

      • I'm always perplexed by leftists claiming moral high ground in matters of race/equality. They filibustered every. single. law. against. lynching. You simply cannot be more hateful than murdering someone on the basis of skin color; "let's not kill each other" should at least be the start of racial equality. Don't know why it was such a problem for the past 150 years, and why they have to selectively edit history after that to whitewash that troublesome little fact out of existence.

        I guess they don't feel hatred is so bad when it's a person they don't agree with. So much for "speaking truth to power". It's a horrible delimma for them -- how to be bigoted against the "right" people in order to be a good lefty. Kind of makes them sound like a bunch of self-righteous, hypocritical asshats to me, but that's just my bigoted opinion, I guess.

    Now... he said it right. Are we really going to be a country that is going to FORCE people to do something against their will? Really?! Isn't that... you know... slavery? You know that thing that was really bad that was done to Blacks and others (and never ever ever to gays by the way) in this country?

    One thing he failed to mention is this (he kind of touched on that a little): There is a fundamental difference between people that work for the government and government spaces AND citizens and private/non-governmental public spaces. Sure it was wrong for homosexuality being illegal and it was wrong for the government to put people in jail for that. All in all as a culture we have to choose and have standards and if our standards are that two adult people can enter into a relationship they want as long as they both agree, as long as they both understand the parameters of the relationship (they are of sound mind and of mature judgement - no one is a minor, no one is forced, etc.), the government really doesn't need to provide permission nor get involved in that nor provide benefits either. The government is wrong to get involved in rightfully done marriages and is wrong to punish people for wanting to be in a relationship of their own choosing. So yes it was wrong for the government to do that and doubly wrong for using the Bible (if that was so) to make it "right". Government officials, workers and contractors cannot and should not ever discriminate against a citizen, no matter what the citizen looks like, does, is, lives, has, etc. If they disagree with a citizen's... whatever, they need to get out of government and go into the private sector. Officials and representatives of the people cannot discriminate when it comes to their work per se, they CAN and SHOULD speak up for the rights of ALL people and they can have their own personal thoughts on any issue they want. In the end however, they are not to discriminate, but they can vote their conscience and as representative of the majority of their constituents. If the majority of their constituents feel a certain way, he or she needs to represent them as that is what he or she is there for. They are to speak up and to try to convince others and try to be open minded to the issues at hand and in the end come up with the best solution for everyone. Since the government is in the marriage business for some stupid ass reason (and for some CRAZY reason government believes itself deserving of already taxed funds left behind by someone that died), then it follows that gays should be allowed to be married if they come to the government for permission (however they can get married without it, but the thing is that they want the benefits that the government provides - death benefits especially- that is what this is all about in the end), the representatives then have to do this: sure get married, but don't force others to participate in your sh*t.

    Now... let's talk about citizens and public/private spaces that have nothing to do with the government. Any violent or murderous act against a gay person is already against the law, there is no need to have special laws for that, for violence and murder are against the law and no one is more special than another that requires more punishment for someone being violent or murderous against one group of people vs another. Private citizens can and should discriminate for any reason no matter how hateful and hurtful for the ego it is. They are private citizens, they have private homes, places of worship, businesses, private (non tax) areas and in the public areas where EVERYONE pays taxes, private citizens can and should discriminate. The Supreme Court ruled that Nazis can march down public (tax paid) areas and display their hate, so WHY EXACTLY can't Christians display "their hate" by telling people that they would rather not participate in their wedding?

    Why can't people understand this? It is not that difficult!

    • People have been taught to be afraid to be themselves without the backing of some bully group. (No one came to make a big fuss when the first female trucker started work with the local trucking firm several decades ago - and guess what? I didn't get offended. I was proud to get the job and worried more about doing the job right than how they could accommodate me.)

      Lawyers will be making a killing with newly-created employer programs that will require a civil rights department staffed with SJW's combing through every detail of a company's daily dealings from Purchase Order to Delivery.

      What else can all these numskulls do when they get out of college and there's no real economy?

  • You have to love progressive hypocrites. Political correctness is one of the things that is ruining this country. I remember the first time I heard the term African American back in the 80s. My best friend, who happens to be black, would say "What is this African American crap, I wasn't born in Africa so just call me black". Indeed, Glenn.

    Then the term homosexual became taboo. I have a cousin who we all knew was gay before the term coming out of the closet was even a thing and being a homosexual was still considered a mental disorder. He laughs at all this garbage. When he hears the term LGBT, he rolls his eyes as though they believe it's some kind of separate social class or movement.

    These morons epitomize the exact thing they berate other people for: Narrowness of vision, as though their beliefs are the only ones that matter.

    You know why there is no such thing as a Straight Pride Parade? Because people who are straight don't feel a need for attention or acknowledgment. I don't think there are many people in this country that really gives a damn about another person's sexual inclinations or whatever. That doesn't mean they want it thrown in their face. If I never heard another instance of political correctness, particularly LBGT or undocumented resident or whatever illegals are supposed to be called these days, I could die a happy man.
