Chu, Chu needs to be fired and someone with real world knowledge needs to be brought in, not this socialistic dreaming bullshit. Unfortunately that won't happen because Barry likes socialists and thinks we won't notice five dollar a gallon gas cause we are too busy bending over to acknowledge dear leaders wonderful management of the country. He's a minority. Look at Obama's appointees across the board. His main qualification for ANY position seems to be that the applicant is a minority or occasionally, a woman. A combination of those requirements is a shoe-in. Mind you, I'm not saying the minority candidates are not competent (ok, with some of them I am) but it does seem to be the #1 qualification.
Actually, the main qualification is that you are a liberal progressive marxist. Race helps, but if you are a student of Marx, Allinsky, or Keynes, you have what it takes to be part of the Obama regime.

It's not like it was some kind of secret that they weren't working on getting gas prices down. We all knew that. But to admit it publicly? That was surprising.
Bingo! Chu is of the same mindset that wants to see energy price sky high. Of course, most of the price is due to gov't getting involved with the energy market.

Oil is expensive, and that's good. So now we can't afford to use expensive oil on our cars -- Good. Now we can use electric batteries in our cars.
These batteries will have to be recharges with power generated in coal fired plants.

Flash -- One of many announcements lately: PITTSBURGH — GenOn Energy Inc. plans to close five of its older coal-fired power plants in Pennsylvania over the next four years. The company, based in Houston, said Wednesday that tough new environmental rules make it unprofitable to operate the plants, which generate a total of 3,140 megawatts of electricity.
I guess we won't be recharging them at all.
Now that is one hell of an energy policy.
