• 14% wage increase = 14% price increase

  No, it actually means MORE than a 14% price increase.
  The employer must match the employees SS deduction, so if they are earning more, they must pay more into SS and so does the employer, and when payroll goes up, so does workman's comp insurance.

  • We'll soon be like Switzerland were servers make $80,000 a year plus tips, which sounds great! But then rental for a small apartment is ridiculously high and owning a home is almost impossible unless you are rich. Then you have to pay $15.00 for an hamburger SANS fries and diet drink. A small cup of hot chocolate is $8.00. There is no "value meal" in Switzerland even in the rinky dinky places. Or we will be like Venezuela were we have to wipe ourselves with one square of toilet paper that we have to buy in the black market.

• What the hell is Chipotle?

  • A chain Mexican place, like Taco Hell.

    • I seriously never been in there. I cannot even describe you the logo if they have one. It must a regional thing.

      • I've never been there either, but I've heard of it.

        • Neither of you have missed a thing. Ate their twice several years ago. I thought it was horseshit and never went back.

        • Just for curiosity I went online and I wasn't impressed by the menu...

        • I went to one because it was walking distance from an event I was doing, and I wanted something quick and easy for dinner after the event closed for the night. The next night I fired up the truck and found a Chinamese buffet.

        • So... not your most favorite meal ha? :-P

        • It wasn't BAD, but definitely overpriced, and nowhere near as good as you get at a little hole in the wall taco shop.

        • Will not be spending my time nor money there then...

• Here is a little hint for the city folks who eat at such places, learn how to cook! I go out to eat every two, maybe three months, and only then if family or friends are visiting and want to try out the local Mexican eatery or the green chili cheeseburgers at the local burger joint. I do my own cooking, wash my own dishes, save a ton of money and I know my eggs will be fried just right.

  The main point is, I save a ton of money!

• GOOD!! Just gave me another reason not to go there. Like I needed another.

  • I didn't care for it either. I heard so many people raving about how good and how fresh the food was. Might have been fresh, not so good. Maybe I need to give them another shot.

    • I meant not to go to San Fran, I could care less about Chipotle. The best places are the little shops run by Mexican families. Just like the best Chinese food is at a small family place.

    • Nah, it's yuppified. Go to a real taco shop.

• Apparently SF politicians have declared the city a sanctuary from the laws of economics.
