EPA to property owner: ‘Your land is our land.’ According to the EPA, ala the USSR, everything is owned by the state. Comrade Stalin would be so proud of them. Meanwhile they keep grabbing more power while the do-nothings in Congress sit on their asses.

At the risk of getting beaten by wet noodles, I acutally support SOME of what the EPA does. I remember what our waterways looked like 50 years ago, and it was a crying shame. I live in an area with aquifer water supplies, and a number of contamination issues have resulted from gasoline leaking out of old storage tanks, & a while back we had a giant multiweek fire at a composting place that contaminated some of the groundwater, etc. HOWEVER!!!!!!! If this are is wetland, it should be clearly identified as such, no building permits should have been issued, and the former owner should have to reveal that, like you have to tell someone if there was a murder in the house you are about to purchase. And if the current owner is correct, the coordinates of the property show it is NOT in the wetland area, what the hell is going on? I think they are simply beinmg bullied to be bullied. The government should be found at fault in this, and should have to reimburse them for time, aggravation, and the increased costs that the delay has caused!

Everybody is missing the point here. Who elects the clowns running the state of Idaho? The citizens in Idaho. The same holds true for all the liberal run states in the country including mine, New Mexico. 51% get to tell the 49% how things are going to be and that is an outdated notion that needs to be done away with.
If a politician cannot win a state election with at least 75% of the vote then they do not win anything, start everything all over again. On their dime, not the taxpayers, until we can get people elected who listen to ALL the people instead of the simple majority.
Of course, the EPA is a federal body, so the blame lies with the Federal government-and people keep reelecting the same morons over and over again.

You have the EPA and FEMA with unchecked power by congress. I agree with the sub heading. Congress is sitting on their asses or most, their brains. The jack boots will be coming soon.
Private property is the most powerful weapon we have in the fight against the arbitrary power of the state. So it's no surprise when the state tries to take away your land, your house, your cars, your guns, your money and your Constitution. When they're gone your freedom is gone.
