  • Off subject Timothy Olyphant is a decent guy. He's been here a couple if times and has sat and ask how to give Justified more of a Central/Eastern Kentucky feel. It was pointed out you can't get from Harlan to Lexington in 20 minutes even on a very good day.

    • I just always assumed Harlan was a fictitious town. It's still a fun series!

      • No Harlan is an actual town. At one point it was a really tough place. If you were an outsider, you better have a bible with you. Otherwise, you weren't going to even get the time of day from most of the folks there.

    • LOL! Well, I guess the producers and research people for the series didn't bother to dig that deep when they started writing the script!
      Is any of the show filmed in that area? Just wondering if any of the settings are authentic.

      • The only filming is the open scene with the railroad tracks run along and thru the town. He would like to do some filming here but the cost of it all was just too much for them to do.
