• Farcebook is a complete joke, I keep getting grief from all my no so tech savvy friends because I refuse to join in on the stupidity. The FBI should shut them and twitter down, it's a terrorists wet dream.

• Story is misleading. FB has not banned the USMC official Facebook page, or thousands of other users and pages which also display the same logo. This leads me to believe the Locked and Loaded page was pulled because of other content or comments which FB didn't like.

  • Still, they pulled the emblem as well as the funereal content. The perfect example of the randomness of their censorship.

• Suckerberg wont bring himself or allow his cronies to admit that its the US Military personnel that have made their lives so much better. PUSSIES!!!

• I did some research on the group Locked and Loaded. Just so happens this guy is from Atlanta, lol. I got the 'offensive' graphic and am posting it on my page. If anyone wants it, I'm happy to share.

  • Like others, I use it to keep in touch with family across the country. I got updates from my niece that gave birth last week to a 1lb 14oz girl.
    Other than that, there is little need for it.

      • Mom is OK, baby was only 3 weeks early, but very undersized. Fully developed, and everything was OK at 26 weeks. When she went in at 33 weeks the Doc said he needed to take her right away. They don't know what happened yet, but she suddenly stopped growing at 26 weeks.

        • Best wishes to your niece and your great niece. My mother was a "miracle baby" twin born back in the twenties who only weighed two pounds at birth. Her twin didn't survive and they didn't think she would either. She was so small, my grandmother used a shoebox as a crib.

          These days, my grandmother would have probably been investigated by CPS and my mother put in a foster home. /not sure if sarcasm or not

          Anyway, congrats to your family, prayers to your niece and her little one.

    • Yep. I'm in the midwest, most of my family is back on the east coast. The most enjoyment I ever got out of FB was when my niece and her husband in NJ documented her pregnancy. I've also witnessed my great niece's and great nephew's progress through life for seven years out in California. Heh, now I feel old.

      The only other redeeming quality is, FB is like a big ass virtual phone book. I've caught up with people I haven't seen since school well over thirty years ago and it's kind of cool to catch up. In the end though, the novelty of catching up with them generally wears off after awhile when you realize that for the most part, it really doesn't add anything to your life.

      @Navyvet2: Yeah, you can use email but there was more "direct" family interaction, I will say that.

      On a day to day basis though, it's just a distraction and waste of time. The only other thing I use it for is to post things about the idiot in DC to piss off my progressive family members.

• Facebook is a fricking joke. I'll say and post dang near anything I please and if they want to ban or bar me, it won't ruin my day one bit because it's over hyped and overrated. They enforce rules and regulations as randomly as the NFL.

  If I didn't use it to keep up with family that I don't see often that is sprinkled all over the country, I wouldn't even bother with it. Even so, with smartphones and things like Skype readily available these days, it's not irreplaceable.

  • What was I thinking? I was on FB for a short time and virtually everything I saw or was sent was utter crap.

    I thought FB was an utter waste of time and was only for people with no life so I simply UN-subcribed. Hell I should have been like a liberal loon and demanded it be shut down because I didnt like it.
    I also consider this Zuckerburg asshole to be a big flaming pussie.
