    • Yes they are..The problem is that people call 9-1-1 when their car won't start, when they need directions, it's all part of the problem of people who are clueless...I have gone to 9-1-1 calls because people where complaining about leaves being blown onto their lawn, because they saw someone who fought with them four years ago, because the neighbor has a camper with a small propane tank that is "going to explode and kill us all"..because someone flipped them off, because the power is off, because their video game stopped working, because the cable tv company cut them off for non payment of a bill, because kids are being noisy...,the list goes on and on...These are people who also vote and walk among us....no common sense..we use to joke that it takes a village to raise an idiot....

        • These days "stupid" knows no boundaries, the attraction here is more free shit, so the gimme my free stuff crowd migrates to Kalifornia, like after the dust bowl, instead now we have the welfare bowl...And of course they are the ones who call 9-1-1 cause they didn't get 20 Mcnuggets in their bag.....

      • I can add a few. My neighbor is running their microwave and it is causing my hair to burn. My 9 year old will not go to bed and is picking on his sister. My favorite, someone is driving down highway xxx with a cat tied to the back bumper. (That driver better not ever run for president as a Repub. The media will crucify him)

  • Tell people you know who seem overly preoccupied with social media that hard times are coming and they need to lay in a stockpile of tweets in case Twitter goes down.

  • Oh my. What a tragedy and life emergency. They couldn't post what they had for breakfast or some other worthless information.

    What I like is when I get the call to a house which has been burglarized. While talking with the owners, you find out that they posted on Facebook when they were leaving, how long the would be gone and where they planned to go. I quit counting how many times I've heard "we didn't tell anyone" then the ultimate question. Do you have a Facebook account and did you post anything on it about being gone? Of course they did and they can't believe someone would use it to steal all their stuff. In one case the whole house was stripped down, right down to the copper piping and electrical wiring. The AC unit was to heavy to take but that was about all that was left. The thieves told the neighbors they were hired to remodel while the owners were gone for 4 weeks on an extended vacation to Europe. You guessed it. The owners posted on Facebook the whole itinerary.

      • At least he killed himself in Mexico and not here. Quagmire and the koine left would be up in arms over the fact that an illegal had done such a thing. They'd be bitching about not getting proper instructions on handling a gun, he didn't get all the social service scrap he should've. Then there would be the out cries of injustice because he had to pay for the phone in order to take the selfie.

      • What bothers me more than anything else is this guy was 21 and a veterinarian! That means he finished his medical training awfully fast. I wouldn't trust my pets to anyone trained in Mexico!

    • I do not feel in the least bit sorry for these morons. Furthermore, one cannot say "I'll bet they have learned their lesson" because morons like this never learn.

  • Instead of calling 9-1-1 for the Facebook outage these people should call a detective agency and see if they can find a life.

  • I count my blessings that I don't depend on a cell phone or a PC to survive in life. I like my PC because it's a great source for getting good info but I dont just HAVE TO HAVE IT. Besides, that's what wifi is for with a laptop, so you can go all over the U.S. and use other folks internet to do whatever. I was a trucker once and it worked great for googling how to get where I needed to be. It saved me from being late on a delivery many times, Plus I had a zoomed in map which Atlases don't give you. I still don't depend on my phone or laptop to live my life. Put me in the forest with a pond and give me a fishing pole, I'm in heaven.

    That and cell phones. If you don't believe me, turn off your phone and watch the people around you with their hands permanently stuck to the side of their faces - doing anything other than living out their own lives.
