Only in Obama’s world can you ignore the law by allowing illegal gun purchases, cheat by allowing the same guns to cross the border and go into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, kill, (a Border Patrol Agent was killed by one of the aforementioned firearms), lie about it to congress and then get that big, fat promotion!
The ATF has promoted three key supervisors of a controversial sting operation that allowed firearms to be illegally trafficked across the U.S. border into Mexico.
All three have been heavily criticized for pushing the program forward even as it became apparent that it was out of control. At least 2,000 guns were lost and many turned up at crime scenes in Mexico and two at the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.
So whom do we congratulate?
The three supervisors have been given new management positions at the agency’s headquarters in Washington. They are William G. McMahon, who was the ATF’s deputy director of operations in the West, where the illegal trafficking program was focused, and William D. Newell and David Voth, both field supervisors who oversaw the program out of the agency’s Phoenix office.
So what was the result of “Operation Fast and Furious?”
No cartel leaders were arrested.
We think we’ll apply for an ATF job. We can screw up until the cows come home and still get promotions.
Oh, wait. We already have those jobs. Except no one gets killed when we screw up on our current jobs.

So Lets see if I get this right, You initiate a program that turns illegal weapons over to violent criminals, Loose track of the weapons, one or more end up killing an American Law enforcement officer, no bad guys are arrested, and even though you made a complete FUBAR of the program, you get promoted? My God, with guys like these running the BATF, can more attempts to take legal weapons be far behind? Maybe these three stooges can create a program to do some more damage here in America and get more citizens killed, That means one of these three morons should be the head of BATF within a very short time. They ought to be facing criminal charges and be in jail, not given a raise and promotion. Damn the Government is completely out of control. Whenever a law enforcement officer gets killed I get that sick feeling like losing a brother, to have a piece of crap like one of these bozos responsible for it make me even sicker. There are no words to express my disgust at these three pieces of human feces. I hope they all die a painful slow death from rectal cancer.
Not advocating it, but it would certainly be a case of bad karma if they got shot with one of those guns. I wonder what they'd have to say then?

Similar to narcotics cases, in a gun runner case it does not stop the flow of the banned objects by just arresting the street level buyers. Better to squeeze the buyer, or secretly tail them and take note of their routes, stash houses, all involved license plates etc. and follow through to the ultimate lieutenant or mid-manager which is the link to busting the true higher ups. Okay so far.
Now in F & F, there were no tracking devices in the weapons, and although some buyers were videoed and tracked after the buys, many were not tracked at all and there was no provision to track any individual into Mexico, because agents cannot simply cross international borders without the consent of the foreign government, or a hand-off to law enforcement agents already in that country. In this case, ATF agents already in Mexico were purposely not told about the investigation. In at least one case, when the buyers headed north away from the border, the tracking agents were ordered to terminate surveillance.
Result?
Over a thousand weapons in the hands of illegal purchasers who sold them to criminals in the US and Mexico and a rapid escalation of violent deaths in Mexico, including thousands of Mexican citizens, innocent men, women and children, and at least two US federal agents killed, one in Arizona and one in Mexico, and a bumbling moron of an AG (Eric Holder) denying the obvious that either he knew, or should have known, about the operation his assistants approved and quite possibly invented. Everything about this investigation is a direct contradiction to established sound law enforcement practices normally practiced by ATF agents and other law enforcement agents.
Why you ask?
Because in a social climate where the goal of eroding or eliminating our 2nd Amendment rights, Obango and his goons wanted to show the Mexican border was so porous that we need to tighten gun regulations to help US citizens and Mexican citizens from being killed. Per the liberal/progressive agenda, the result of their treasonous behavior is two murdered US federal agents, probably more to come, and hundreds of Mexican law enforcement killed along with thousands of Mexican citizens, including members of a youth soccer team, consulate employees, etc. murdered with F & F guns. Definitely change we can believe in.
It is a time-honored Marxist tradition for advancement.
